Kurt Busch just got Ray Riced.

^he should have paid the hush money she was asking for
2/20/2015 10:10:18 PM
It's always better to just make them sign a ironclad statement and pay them whatever they want assuming its not out of this world. No matter what happens, his career in NASCAR is essentially over thanks to her. NASCAR isn't a stick and ball sport where you can just go back to playing. He will have a hell of a time finding a sponsor.

^I got 3 tickets to it when I heard it was gonna be Chase Elliott's first Sprint Cup race. I'm sure it'll be chilly as hell, but i'll manage. Also, i'd love to see this new found evidence as well. How do you come to this type of conclusion without actually being there? Was there a videocamera setup in the rig or something?
2/21/2015 8:09:10 AM
^the freaking chaplain that saw her immediately after the incident said there were no visible injuries. wow. i hate to see a guy get screwed like this but there is some solace in the fact he is an assholeHaas should put Travis Kvapil in the 41 for the 500[Edited on February 21, 2015 at 8:28 AM. Daytona should spend money getting rid of all the grass, instead of building more seats. And maybe add some safer barrier to those inside walls.
2/21/2015 6:16:35 PM
^Grass is fine. There was once a day where you could make it through the grass without ripping your car to shreds. That freaking front valence they have on these next gen cars just rips the entire front end off of the damn thing anytime you touch grass. Announcers blame it on the "wet and soggy infield". Bullshit, it could be dry as hell and it would still dig.
2/21/2015 7:16:19 PM
The drivers and analysts say that when the car goes through the grass it speeds the car up, that's why some of the tracks like Michigan have gotten rid of the grass along the backstretch infield

http://youtu.be/7b_pR0cXHD0best nascar related commercial in a while. Dale Jr was awesome, hahaha.

road courses have replaced gravel traps with runoff areas so they don't have to bring their equipment out and tow the cars out of the gravel everytime someone mis judges the corner. Grass is not the issue...has never been an issue...until they put on these splitters that dig themselves in anytime someone touches grass and rips off the entire front end.

I'll comment on the grass/Daytona thing before I comment on the Kurt Busch thing.Grass/Seating:First and foremost, they actually CUT the seating. They took down the back stretch stands and are using that to make more front stretch stands. It was necessary and will be a wiser use of money down the road for DIS.As far as the grass.....3/4 of Kyle Busch's "ride" was on pavement. He was sideways the entire time. So much for that pavement allowing him to correct his car. As far as Kurt Busch...I posted the following on another website that should state how I feel about the issue:I'm just glad I don't have a woman that is batshit insane. Just an accusation these days is good enough to ruin your life. Also, just got around the reading the Delaware online article about the judgement and found some insane yet interesting quotes about this issue that has me puzzled.
2/22/2015 6:26:48 AM
at least his new gf is hot:assuming that's actually his gf and not a model he is paying to be with him in publicbrother Kyle could be out for months. similar injury tony stewart had...
2/22/2015 6:47:09 AM
compound fracture to the lower left leg.....fracture in his right foot(could have the left/right portion of those extremeties switched).Tough weekend for the Busch family. Friday night they were both in the 500. Saturday evening, they're both out of NASCAR competition for what will probably be months.
2/22/2015 6:51:26 AM
Kyle will be back, Kurt's career is over.
2/22/2015 8:13:34 AM
BTT for Dale Jr getting 2 in a row today.

Epic wreck coming SOON.
2/22/2015 4:42:55 PM
I'll never watch another Daytona 500.
2/22/2015 4:48:06 PM
welp
2/22/2015 4:48:27 PM
Wtf!
2/22/2015 4:48:42 PM
I yelled so loud, my GF is not happy.
2/22/2015 4:49:22 PM
Oh cool. No body won.
2/22/2015 6:12:36 PM
^I wouldn't say a nobody won. Logano will more likely than not hoist a championship trophy before his time is done. He is a big baby, but he can drive a car.
2/22/2015 7:16:13 PM
They need to bring back the short tracks. This racing crap sucks.Bring back the banging and wrecks...short tracks ftw
2/24/2015 1:51:24 PM
I enjoyed the last 40 laps immensely. But please, continue your RAWR RAWR RAWR KING DUCHEBAG whining.

2/24/2015 2:11:59 PM
major clusterfuck in qualifying as the 24, 48, 14, and 20 did not even make a lap and will start from the rear. so many cars failed tech the first pass through there wasnt enough time to get everyone through again perhaps.
2/27/2015 8:25:00 PM
nascar just keeps the lols coming
2/27/2015 9:48:37 PM
not sure how its Nascar's fault that the teams cant get their shit together. I'm sure that if they had delayed qualifying two hours to let everybody get through tech, people would have been bitching about that too.[Edited on February 28, 2015 at 9:43 AM. Reason : some teams had to go through 3 times]
2/28/2015 9:43:28 AM
they need to just go full IROC and let NASCAR provide the cars. that's essentially what NASCAR wants anyway: everyone sitting in an identical car. so lame.
2/28/2015 9:57:00 AM
Since my brother is a test engineer for MWR, I feel obliged to post in this thread.
2/28/2015 10:39:38 AM
truck qualifying produces more lols
2/28/2015 11:45:58 AM
^they need to put a clock that can be seen on TV on the flag stand
3/1/2015 6:57:26 AM
^that's not the issue. Nobody wants to be the first one out in the trucks because the draft is such a big deal. It's a fine line time wise and those that didn't go got bit. Can't believe they let Suarez do what he did. What he did was blatantly against the rules and they just let it go.
3/1/2015 12:28:48 PM
what'd he do? i must have missed it.[Edited on March 1, 2015 at 12:38 PM. Reason : nascar has a long history of picking and choosing what rules to enforce and when]
3/1/2015 12:37:02 PM
Damn it Hamlin
3/1/2015 5:10:03 PM

Looks like the new package is just what Jimmy needed.
3/1/2015 6:34:50 PM
tried really hard to stay awake for the whole race this time. failed, like usual.
3/1/2015 6:55:14 PM
If you don't like it, why tune in?
3/1/2015 7:52:04 PM
i always give it a shot at the beginning of each season, but i usually lose interest by Martinsville. i do like to keep up with it enough to make fun of it. that and i've run out of classic nascar races to watch on youtube.
3/1/2015 8:02:14 PM
I almost fell asleep at charlotte two years ago, will not attend another race at that track.
3/1/2015 8:07:44 PM
^^good grief. I feel bad for you
3/1/2015 8:12:39 PM
it's not like i make any special effort to watch a race. if i happen to be home and not doing anything when a race/practice/qualifying is on, i will leave it on the tv. growing up, i spent a lot of time in the pits with my dad at local short tracks and some of those guys work for teams now, so it's cool to keep up with how they're doing.
3/1/2015 8:20:23 PM
I only follow the 88 and the 0 car in xfinity. (he's up to 30th, LOL)--#NCSTATESHIT
3/2/2015 1:21:09 AM
good race but could have been 400 miles instead of 500 cars were obviously harder to drive compared to last year which should help the 48...
