@ Smath74I worked at a small-town Food Lion and was usually the only bagger there until closing, and we would have lines because, well, its Food Lion and they never schedule enough front-end help. When someone asks for paper it takes longer to bag because they expect everything to be placed in there nice and neat. When you have people in line at the cash register backing all the way up to the grocery isles, people start to get restless. Also, at least at my Food Lion, the people that usually asked for paper were older, and would always want me to load them in their cars. That wasn't a problem and I didn't mind it, but I always had the inside crowd in mind. I guess as a 15 year old bagger I just shouldn't have really given a shit. Especially since I was making 4.85 an hour. Maybe I should've asked for 15/hr.But like I said, I actually prefer paper now, so I just bag them myself. As a side note, its kinda interesting how they have sized the paper bags. You can usually fit, almost precisely, most of the boxes of stuff that you buy in a grocery store inside one of those paper bags.[Edited on September 25, 2014 at 9:03 AM. Reason : asdfa]
