First time home buyer here planning to put 20% down on 15-yr loan. Living in the Triad area.Any suggestions on where to shop for loans to get the best rate? Plan to avoid banks and stick with Mortgage Corporations or possibly a Credit Union.

NCSECU had a crap rate considering I was putting 20% down.Ended up with Countrywide and refinanced later with Coastal Federal Credit Union

Try searching on Zillow, that's where I found the lowest rate.
