The internet has definitely ruined my attention span for tv shows... I hope tv produces are aware this is happening.I've watched all go game of thrones, but can only name like 2 characters. I mostly just refer to characters by their descriptions (dwarf, eunuch, guy from star gate, dragon girl, etc).

Yes, it's an Internet issue for me, too. Even though I never finish them, books still keep me settled. But sitting and looking at a screen that I can't interact with is tough--unless there's a bunch of jokes or something that totally fascinates or delights me.And TV producers are aware, but their accommodations make for bad TV. They use simpler/more predictable plot lines and preview material multiple times before it's actually shown. It's why reality TV is so popular; people don't have attention spans for much more than that. Like, they summarize everything and take breaks for each person tell you their side of the story and exactly how they feel about it. Viewers don't have to use their brains at all, and they can't get lost.[Edited on March 10, 2014 at 3:16 AM. Reason : ]

I rarely quit shows...I watched all 10 seasons of Smallville just for the 3 episodes a year that it was actually good. But Ive finally given up on Revolution...unlike the shows I enjoy, Ive realized that I couldnt give a shit about any character on the show. Also, while I havent totally given up on Once Upon a Time, Im done with Wonderland...it is beyond terrible.
