Kurtis is a good name and I like that it's spelled with a K not a C. I don't like when people who first meet me call me Kurt. No, I don't go by Kurt.

Also, people who see my name first without meeting me are often surprised I'm not black.

I could do without ever hearing Curtis Loew references again.

I could be a bitch, but not as big of a bitch as the Queen. I would still go with Lena, cause it isn't so white.

Casey

I'm good with it...especially when paired with my middle name...Love

what I am not good with, however, is when people shorten it to Case...

is it REALLY that difficult to a the extra letter?

also...I had to get used to answering to Tracy, Stacy, Cassie, and Carey a LONG time ago

Will

I'm pretty indifferent to it. I can't think of something I'd rather be called.

full name is William, and I get kinda tired of people calling me that.

some of this talk reminds me of how Lawrence Fishburne flipped-out when a reporter referred to him as "Larry" (even though he referred to himself as "Larry" in his earlier career)

I used to hate mine, but then over time I realized that it's oddly unique

in the sense that I've only met a handful of other Justin's in my (nearly) 28 years

Megan. I have always thought my name was really pretty. And I don't love that it's so common now, but so be it.

I don't think so at all - I love the name Lauren (mostly how it sounds). The only baby name I've ever really loved is "Laurel" (pronounced either LOR-al orrrr lor-ELLE...although the latter might come across as trashy)

My sweet baby niece is named Magdalena Marie. I think it is a gorgeous name (and is a family name). She mostly goes by Maggie (or Maggielicious or Big Tiny), but I really like Lena too.

^^^If you were born before '83, you got screwed by the wildly popular Thorn Birds miniseries. Otherwise, it was common when you were born.

I hate my name. Ashley
Whenever I order food or book a hotel. I always get, "oh, I was looking for a girl." Or, "I need to see your i.d."
Tis annoying, but I don't know what else I'd choose as a different name.

lol, I just checked and my middle name is supposedly more common than my first name. Maybe it's just this area, but I feel like "Lauren" is way more common than my middle name. Should have seen if I could have snuck in a first name change along with the last name.

Emmanuel. I like my first name. I don't meet too many people with it, and my parents' alternatives were Sebastian and Sterling, which I don't really think fit me. Very few people say my whole name though, so I get nicknames all the time: E, Man, E-man, Manuel, Afro. Northerners (specifically NYers) always want to call me Manny, which isn't something I've ever gone by.

The only real annoyance is the number of variations on the spelling. When I say my name, most folks will spell it with one m.

Mike

no one calls me Michael, no one. My family calls me Mikey, which is cool. I like my name, my dad is named Michael too. I don't care that there are a bunch of other Mikes, it's like we have an instant bond. I also like my middle name, David.

Jarren

I'm always loved it. Chick today hit me up asking if my kid was going to be Jarren Jr cause she was gonna steal the name if it wasn't. (Not the jr obviously)

Only thing is over the phone + my southern drawl, people (usually white poeple) confuse the hell outta my name. Then they'll respond thats nice/pretty/different/odd/weird. Also heard:

- Jan (dafuq)
- Darren (I can understand that)
- Darryl
- Jeremy
- Gerald

And when heard people immediately assume its Jaron if I have to give it to someone and they attempt to spell it on their own.
