Earth Fare & Trader Joe's I am disappointed in all of you who shop at Wal-Mart. I hate that place.
11/18/2013 8:48:36 AM
I shop at Earth Fare sometimes.

Here in Richmond (most often to least often):-Kroger-Fresh Market-Target-Martin's -Trader Joe'sWhen I lived in Durham:-Harris Teeter-Target-Whole Foods-Trader Joe'sI miss HT. The Kroger near me up here is enormous and much nicer than the few Krogers in NC, but they'll be out of the damndest things, the produce isn't very fresh sometimes and the shopping experience just isn't as nice.[Edited on November 18, 2013 at 9:17 AM. The Trader Joes closest to me is fine in and of itself, but the shopping center that it is in has an absolutely awful layout. To drive down to where the store is means risking an accident with the narrow isles of the parking lot, awkward layout, bad drivers, and general congestion. Its best just to take the subway/walk there, which then makes it not as convenient as just driving to another grocery store.

that's how the TJ's is for me too. Entrance is ground level, in a parking deck, but you can't park on that level half the time. So I have to drive 2-3 floors up since it's shared with a Marshalls, BB, and Target to find a spot. Then walk down, shop, and either carry my bags up flights of stairs or half way down the deck to take the Elevator up. It's ridiculous and not worth saving a few bucks.

Normally just Harris Teeter and Trader Joes. I would hit up a Piggly Wiggly if I needed something fast because they are the closest...but wouldn't do a lot of shopping there because their produce section was HORRIBLE. The Pig has now been turned into a Bi-Lo, so I might start going there if they drastically improve the produce section (wasn't much better their first week open.So Harris Teeter for the majority of groceries. Trader Joes for all wine restocking and occasional big grocery buying. Publix and Bi-Lo if I'm in the area and need shit.

Harris Teeter and Wal-Mart, mainly. I try to go to Wal-Mart twice a month max--any more than that, I'll start to notice how awful it is, and then I can't go for a while.

^^is that how you feel about all Pigs or just that one in particular? I always went to to one at IOP Connector and it was amazing. Other ones outside the nicer parts are pretty rundown though.

I trek out to Trader Joe's and the Farmer's Market every couple of months, and we have drastically cut our WalMart shopping to every three months or so. There are certain products there I can't get at Harris Teeter or BJs or aren't worth buying in bulk at BJs because we will never use it in time.

Teeter 90% others 10%

They might be building a publix right outside our neighborhood. What should I expect?
12/15/2013 9:34:18 AM
Food Lion most of the time.

Walmart, usuallysometimes I go to PayLess (which is the midwestern name of Kroger, I think)]
12/15/2013 7:09:28 PM
I go to Food Lion usually but their selection on some things sucks. If I want to cook something fancy and need weird ingredients, I go to either Whole Foods or Weaver Street Market.
