I don't think you should have to spend the night in a state to count it. I think that driving through it should count. I mean, I've driven through South Dakota, spent half a day at Mount Rushmore, but never spent the night in the state. I've driven around in MD and been to Baltimore numerous times, but never spent the night there. I don't think it should count to just set foot in an airport for a connection, though, or if you do count that, you it should be with a caveat.

35 states, have not been to New England, haven't been to Alabama or Louisiana. Also missed out on Oregon, Washington, Idaho as well as Hawaii and Alaska, oh, and Michigan (although I may have briefly passed through there).[Edited on October 13, 2013 at 3:04 PM. Reason : 35 not 37]

How do you "pass through" michigan. Its not between anything.
10/13/2013 3:10:55 PM
Passed through may have been a poor choice of phrase. Been through I guess. I've been to Ohio, Illinois, Wisconsin, and seen several of the great lakes, so it seems likely that I might have driven into it at some point but I've never visited.

Yeah thats what I don't get. Driving into Michigan without meaning to. Its a peninsula and I80 goes along its entire border of the neighbor states without ever crossing into Michigan. The only scenario I can think of is driving to Ontario from the west. In that case it seems you would knowingly have visited Michigan.

I didn't count airports, or just driving through on the highway.[Edited on October 14, 2013 at 10:51 AM. Reason : .]

Well, honestly, any trip to Michigan is a wasted trip. That whole state and everyone from it can eat a dick.I also think there's some slim chance I may have been into the UP while in Northern Wisconsin.

^Nah bruh, you're just colorblind. Been all up in Delaware, Dewey Beach 4 Life.

95 goes through Delaware
10/14/2013 10:25:05 PM
if Delaware is grey, then what color is Maine? maybe I am going colorblind
10/14/2013 10:26:36 PM
I have never left nc
10/14/2013 10:29:12 PM
deleware isn't totally grey, it's a blue-ish grey
10/14/2013 10:59:34 PM
Delware is Teal green (like light blue-green). Maine is gray. If they look the same, its pretty likely you're red-greed colorblind at least partially. It looks just slightly not grey to me, and I'm about 60% red/green colorblind.
10/14/2013 11:01:18 PM
Delaware is not teal green. If anything is teal green on that map, it's Kentucky.Delaware is a blue-grey.[Edited on October 14, 2013 at 11:09 PM. Reason : it's]

that settles it, I'm going to the optometrist tomorrow
10/14/2013 11:10:44 PM
look at Hiro's map on this page. Much easier to see the difference in Delaware and the gray states
