We definitely wouldn't have gotten a Guardians of the Galaxy movie, and that'd suck.

I saw the extended trailer last night, and at the very end, it showed captain america's shield torn in half. WTF I thought that shield was invincible. To see the stuff that shield has gone through (namely being able to repel alien technology, and Thor's hammer) I find it hard to believe that a robot could do it in.
11/14/2014 7:20:00 AM
It is not invincible, it is just ridiculously strong. It is made of vibranium, which is mostly found in Wakanda, where Black Panther is from. Also most people are theorizing that Andy Serkis is playing Klaw who usually plays in with a lot of Black Panther/vibranium. So it seems like vibranium could play a big role, and perhaps a robot, also made out of vibranium could destroy the shield

Its the age-old question of "What can scratch a diamond?"
11/14/2014 11:28:01 AM
Wasn't ultron made of adamantium instead of vibranium? Who owns the rights to use the word anyway?[Edited on November 14, 2014 at 12:19 PM. Reason : .]
11/14/2014 12:15:34 PM
I believe he has been made of various differnt materials over the years in the comics. I don't know if anyone has specific rights to "adamantium" or not, but if anyone does it is fox. They have used it and talked about it a lot in the various Xmen films. They have already introduced vibranium in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and is a great segway to Black Panther, so it makes more sense to use it.
11/14/2014 1:14:19 PM
I guess they found more of it then, because Stark said they used all of the world's supply making captain's shield.
11/14/2014 1:24:53 PM
It might be a reveal that it wasn't 'found' so much as procured. That's where the Black Panther's storyline comes in.
11/14/2014 1:27:53 PM
in the comics Wakanda is an extreme isolationist country that the outside world doesn't even really know about. They have leaked out and sold off very little bits of Vibranium, but no one really knows that there is such an abundance there[Edited on November 14, 2014 at 3:54 PM. Reason : $$$]

The thought of them dropping Blank Panther clues and setting the stage is awesome. I been very interested in Black Panther for a few years... to see him coming to the Big Screen is exciting. III[Edited on November 14, 2014 at 5:03 PM. Reason : .]

Is Hulk getting it on with Black Widow?
3/5/2015 3:38:10 PM
I'm interested to see how Thor gets involved this time. There's no Loki to draw him back to Earth.
3/5/2015 6:52:12 PM
He stayed on Earth after Thor 2
3/6/2015 7:06:10 AM
Hmmm, last I remember he was walking away from his father, who was actually Loki. Guess I'll have to rewatch it.
3/6/2015 7:18:05 AM
Yeah Loki is impersonating Odin in Asgard currently[Edited on March 6, 2015 at 9:17 AM. Reason : Oh I see, the "he" in your sentence is Thor. Got it.]
3/6/2015 9:16:12 AM
^^yeah he turned down the the offer to take the throne from Odin/Loki so that he could go stay on earth and protect it and he walks away, then you see him on earth with Natalie Portman in the post credits scene

In the Avengers movie MCU, where do scarlet witch and quick silver get there powers? Quicksilver was a mutant in X-men. So are they allowing into the movie MCU mutant existence?I love the fact that the X-men movies only deal with mutation. Even though its completely unrealistic, at least it narrows the craziness down so its not all over the place. It has always bothered me when you can get magic, gamma rays, tech, mutation, sorcery, super serums all in the same universe. How do you compare someone with a mutation fighting someone with magic?Tech vs magic. blergh[Edited on March 16, 2015 at 5:11 PM. Reason : movie]

They will be InhumansThe Kree (See bad guy Ronin from Guardians of the Galaxy) thousands of years ago experimented on humanity and other races to turn them into living weapons to fight their wars. When exposed to a gas called Terrigen Mist, humans with a dormant Inhuman gene gain superpowers. This has been an ongoing development in Agents of Shield this season. Also will be a movie in like 2019 I think?[Edited on March 16, 2015 at 10:14 PM. Reason : ]

^^MCU is not allowed to use the term mutant, ^that is a possibility, but it definitely has not been confirmed yet.
3/17/2015 7:38:57 AM
^ Which part of that is just a possibility? Pretty much all of that is pretty accurate. And yes, it has been confirmed there will be an Inhumans movie.
3/17/2015 8:40:46 AM
It has not been confirmed that Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver are inhumans in the MCU, but it would make sense and I wouldn't be surprised
3/17/2015 8:44:34 AM
I CANNOT WAIT. Already told my fiance that me and the son will be at the midnight showing, and that he may be late or skip school that Friday lol. III
4/2/2015 1:04:57 PM

4/2/2015 2:39:03 PM
The premier is already over!
4/14/2015 5:48:05 PM
I wasn't sure if I should put this here, or the workplace annoyances thread in chit chat, but 2 of my coworkers were just talking about comics after watching the BatmanV Superman leak trailer, and one says "you know who created Ultron originally...it was the Gremlin, from Spider-Man." Completely serious, and with complete confidence.

So whats the value in paying to see this in 3D or Imax? Is it worth it? I know the 3D is all post-production, and I cant tell that anything was actually filmed in Imax...its just 3D on a bigger screen, right?
4/26/2015 6:09:20 PM

I think I have decided to see this in IMAX. Will also be my son's first time for IMAX... so an added bonus. Now just what time to see it Thursday at Southpoint lol III
4/27/2015 10:53:53 AM
Just saw it, and yeah, I can see where the haters are coming from. You think that it might be about the introduction of an ominous villain, but you quickly realize that it is just about establishing Vision and continuing the series. But, for what it really is, it is a great show with lots of cool action scenes and cheeky dialogue.
4/27/2015 5:29:16 PM
ultron was actually created by henry/hank pym aka ant man. it's odd with the antman movie coming they didn't give him credit .
4/28/2015 12:53:43 AM
I expect people to come away a little disappointed with Ultron in this film, and not because he was portrayed poorly, but because he disappears for long segments of the film and really is not in it as much as you would think after watching the trailer. His lines and the performance were great, but they did rush it quite a bit in establishing why he chooses a path of destruction over diplomacy. And, it becomes pretty clear that after they establish what they want to establish... well, I don't want to give any spoilers out, but let's just say that he suddenly disappears for large stretches of the movie after they spent a good chunk of the first act developing him.I think of Ultron in this movie a lot like PSH's character in MI:3. It was a very convincing performance that was done well, but at the end of the day he was just some dude hurting people because he just can. [Edited on April 28, 2015 at 5:49 AM. Reason : a]

^^Tony Stark creates Ultron in the movie. Hank creates him in the comics. still 2 different mediums
