No conversation about the last episode? I watched it last night and thought it was excellent The husband turning out to be a witch hunter hired by the voodoo witch was a great turn

i find it strange that Cordelia has started speaking differently now that she has "the sight"...i wonder if there is a correlation...

Thank God Madison is back

Queenie, noooo!

Just realized that Spalding is the same actor who played the burned guy that killed Hayden in the first season (Russell Edginton from True Blood).

Good for the kid they put back together. Looks like he got an epic 3some
11/22/2013 2:25:35 PM
^lol yeah. Zombie, Zombie Witch, and Regular Witch who makes people bleed from their eyes when she bangs them. Quite a crazy combination.Sidenote: Now that Cordelia has "the sight" or whatever you wanna call it, shouldn't she have been able to see that her husband is actually a witch hunter and has been lying to her the whole time?
11/22/2013 2:29:58 PM
She should, but that's not how her power works. She gets flashes of unclear images. She should know that Fiona set up Myrtle, but she seemed to only see zombie bitch's death.

I'm still watching... But I'm not big on this season at all.The whole thing with the frankenstein boy (tate?) is annoying.... I liked last season a lot better.

I couldn't believe Misty was the same person as the nun from season 2, she looks so much older in this season it is crazy. All in all, I think this season has been a lot better than how it started, still not close to S1 though, I loved that one.
12/20/2013 3:12:25 PM
they are all the same to me. nothing real exciting. I didnt like the alien abduction sub plot last time but this season had a damn Minotaur in it. so it's a wash.
12/20/2013 3:48:37 PM
anyone else catch last night's episode? I thought it was fantastic, just the right thing after a holiday break hiatus.

Not going to lie, I am glad I stuck this season out. It isn't my favorite show or anything hit it had turned into a good season and I am actually looking forward to the next episodes.

I thought the last episode was good, but the introduction of this all-powerful PAPA character seemed way out of place...Fiona is supposed to be this all-powerful witch and she just now thought to "summon" this papa guy and ask him for immortality? Just seemed really random all of a sudden...And Fiona and the voodoo lady were mortal enemies and now they seem like besties after like 2 days... Nit-picking
1/11/2014 11:29:11 AM
Its difficult to gauge this season. I feel like I would be more connected with it if the characters were less schizophrenic. Like the characters seem normal enough, then they go on a murderous rampage if anyone even crosses them in the slightest. The plot also feels like a moving target. The first group of episodes were introductory Harry Potter type setups, which was fine. Then we moved to what appears to be the main plot (the next Supreme). And since then there have been groups of other plots popping up (Voodoo war, witch hunter war, etc). I think I preferred the previous seasons' methods better where all sorts of wild things happen in the first episode and the season is about resolving all those plots. We are 8 episodes into what I am assuming is a 12-13 episode season and they are still introducing new important characters.I still like the season, its just not living up to my expectations based on the previous two. Then again, I binge watched both of those in 2 sittings apiece, so I'm sure that affects my perception of the plot.

Holy shit what a lame finale. Where are the days of a gay ghost strangling his lover in a gimp suit?
1/30/2014 8:27:14 PM
Yeah... Kind of a weak finale..I got excited at the end because I thought Fiona was going to kill them all and stay supreme...I remember the producer said at the beginning of the season that it was the "lightest" season they had done and was very different. He was right.I hope they return to something more dark and "scary" next season.
1/30/2014 9:32:07 PM
Totally agree. I was hoping for a twist ending of some kind. Fiona going to hell was the only real surprise and that was even predictable considering all the bad things she's done. I don't know why Papa what's his face showed up to laugh at her though, she never made a deal with him -- she tried to sell her soul but he said she didn't have one to sell.
1/30/2014 10:38:51 PM
Overall I thought it was a pretty good ending. However the way Madison was killed was super lame. Strangled? She had just shown herself easily capable of teleportation AND mind control. But sure, the guy whose mind she had controlled earlier in the episode can choke her out.Talk about lazy writing.
1/30/2014 11:25:04 PM
I don't think it compares to the original season; Asylum and Coven's finales both felt like wrapping up lose ends rather than any sort of tense finale. Ya, I don't know why Madison couldn't defend herself unless it was guilt/love. I thought Zoe's death was super dumb.
1/31/2014 11:08:32 AM
it wasn't all that out of the ordinary with the idea of teleportation though...basically all stories about it say the person has to have a very specific vision of where they are moving...if they do it carelessly and without thought they can end up stuck in walls or in front of moving vehicles or like Zoe...she didn't know how to handle it...she just knew she could do it...as for the body count of the last few episodes....i just gave up i wouldn't have cared if madison stubbed her toe and got gangrene and rotted to death from infection...i'm just glad she died[Edited on January 31, 2014 at 12:03 PM. Reason : i wish misty had lived though ]

So Cordelia being the next supreme was supposed to be the twist, I guess. Seemed fairly obvious, but they definitely could have gone a different route.Still, lots of dumb moments in the finale.-Madison being unable to defend herself.-What's up with the witch hunter company? The CEO said that killing them was pointless because it would start a larger war, but then the company is never again mentioned in the show? K!-Queenie failing the 7 wonders because she failed to showcase a wonder . . . she performed the day before?-Madison originally couldn't be the supreme because of a heart murmur, but Cordelia instantly healed her eyes when she became supreme. If you immediately become the spitting image of health when you become the supreme, why did the murmur matter?-We must burn Myrtle at the stake, again, because she harmed a fellow witch. Yet when Madison kills Misty, its okay and handled as a girls-will-be-girls moment. This season really felt like the badness that happens when Marketing and network execs getting a bigger hand in planning a season.
2/2/2014 1:32:05 AM
Yeah, the intro was the best part of Coven IMHO. I finished Murder House in between Coven's episodes and I have 3 episodes left in Asylum. Si far I'd have to say Asylum>Murder House>Coven.
2/2/2014 6:52:03 AM
^^here's my opinion on those things-Madison was in love...and being a spoiled brat...she was actually being a real teenager for a change and that made her weak and scatterbrained-I think the witch hunters were just arrogant douche bags who had absolutely no clue who/what they were dealing with...-I don't think Misty was dead...I think she was just knocked out....she was able to resurrect herself from being burned at the stake so I'm assuming her inner magic could keep her alive through a little head bump...there isn't really a time frame on when all that happened...and I don't think those mausoleums are air tight...i think that was more to make us think Queenie had the gift of resurrection when she really only had the gift of resurgence...-Codelia wasn't born blind...also...what happened to her eyes gave her even more gifts (ability to see the past the first time....the future the second time)...i would be like saying "you can't be supreme because you had a car wreck and lost a leg"....it's not a condition, it's just something that happened at the hands of other people...I would have only thought it was f'ed up if Nan had lived and become supreme-one again...i don't think Misty was dead...but either way I sure am glad she beat Madison's ass. Even if Madison had killed Misty the council ultimately decides who burns at the stake...and there was no council at the timealso...i love this guy's recaps http://www.tv.com/shows/american-horror-story/community/post/american-horror-story-coven-the-seven-wonders-review-photo-recap-season-3-episode-13-139104706533/i tend to agree with him that who became supreme wasn't really as big of a deal as the whole process leading up to it
