just signed my furlough notice, now back to bed
10/1/2013 6:19:42 AM
I'd assume that rjrumfel was trolling, but because I've read his other posts on this site I know that he is just that fucking stupid
10/1/2013 6:28:39 AM
Shut-r-down
10/1/2013 6:29:59 AM
its absolutely fucking backwards that the DEA is essential but things like the Forest Service, EPA, Department of Veterans Affairs, The Grain Inspection Packers and Stockyards Administration (inspects food imports), and WIC are not
10/1/2013 9:06:10 AM
10/1/2013 9:13:23 AM
Whats important about the forest service? forest fires, particularly this time of year. The VA department will continue to provide services, but not disability payments. They can only last about a week or two processing payments, after that its fuck you. And GIPSA is shutdown per their website. well, per their website before it just said thishttp://www.usda.gov/documents/usda-gipsa-shutdown-plan.pdf

well that's not what their site used to saybut regardless, my point that our priorities are backwards when the DEA is ahead of those things is true. and the answer to your question if by post was trolling is no.[Edited on October 1, 2013 at 9:51 AM. Reason : ^not to mention that a CR never even made it to Obama to sign]
10/1/2013 9:50:24 AM
Well saying "it is law" does not really mean shit when this administration decides it is not going to enforce other laws on the books (i.e. immigration laws).

Oh my bad, I thought we were all well aware that we're talking about the individual mandate delay that the republicans keep attaching to the CR and that the president explicitly does not want nor is it feasible. It funds the program for christ's sake. Sorry for not spelling that out you fucking pedant.[Edited on October 1, 2013 at 10:14 AM. Reason : .]

its not your opinion that I have an issue with, its you completing getting facts and current events wrong or backwards
10/1/2013 10:49:18 AM
I made that post before the bill was killed in the senate the second and third time. I do think though, that maybe if the senate would have talked through maybe some of the issues that the house had with the bill, maybe something could've been worked out. Both sides refusal to come to a consensus has gotten us to where we are now, with this partial shutdown.
10/1/2013 10:54:20 AM
This is 100% the democrats fault. They are doubling down on this legislation that nobody (except the uninformed obama worshipers) (hipsters) wants. Republicans are trying to make sure that the economy (and health care industry) survives and you people are just stroking the obama cock without question. And the senate didn't even bother to come in over the weekend to work this shit out before the "shut down" happened. No you're right, silly me.They can just print more money.Republicans are obviously the immature ones; my bad.
10/1/2013 11:57:12 AM
We can afford to do a lot more than organize some private health insurance
10/1/2013 11:59:36 AM
So lets see how brilliant/mature the average left-leaning hack truly is.Imagine for a second Democrats took control of the House today, and pretend you're Nancy Pelosi.Lay out your grand plans for the rest of the month.Show us the bright light at the end of the non-Republican tunnel.
10/1/2013 12:02:27 PM
i'd throw out this conservative privatization bullshit (ACA) entirely, and i'd start nationalized healthcare. most of my cuts would be to defense spending.[Edited on October 1, 2013 at 12:06 PM. Reason : ACA is a republican plan]
10/1/2013 12:06:20 PM
Just start it huh?[Edited on October 1, 2013 at 12:11 PM. Reason : I like this attitude.]
10/1/2013 12:10:56 PM
dt, do you truly trust our govnernment with the full responsibility of your health care? Do you honestly think that the government will always have your best interets at heart when it comes to your health? It is hard for me to fathom that they would be able to get it right. They can't even get the IT infrastructure in place to make sure launch day goes without a hitch.
10/1/2013 12:15:41 PM
10/1/2013 12:18:22 PM
In terms of the government being able to do anything right? I guess it is.
10/1/2013 12:19:02 PM
i'm sorry, i thought that in this pointless philosophical exercise you wanted to know what my dream would be. if you are talking about in reality, i would have compromised for a single-payer plan back before ACA was a law. my reality now is that i would not be wasting time trying to repeal, delay, or defund ACA. its launch day and the website has more discreet users trying to use it than the medicaid site ever received. its not a surprise that the exchange website would have problems, and that people might not understand it at first, which is why the first open enrollment period is open for months. ACA doesn't change the amount of input the ACA has in regards to my health decisions, and I'm not sure why you think they would make worse decisions than a private insurance company even if they did. i think that rjrmfel thinks that ACA is an insurance (or maybe even healthcare?) that is administered by the government. its not.[Edited on October 1, 2013 at 12:21 PM. Reason : in case you haven't figured it out yet, i hate ACA]

No, I know exactly what it is, I was referring to your idea of going with complete nationalized healthcare. I wasn't being disparaging or insulting, I was just wondering if you really put that much faith in our government to get such a large and important function right.
10/1/2013 12:22:31 PM
in nationalized healthcare, or in a single payer system, the government is still not making your medical decisions(and even if the government was making my decisions, they would probably be no worse than what a profit motivated private insurance or healthcare company would make)[Edited on October 1, 2013 at 12:24 PM. Reason : .]
10/1/2013 12:24:03 PM
