Congratulation to your new gun!It actually lasted only 17 mins. The HR doesn't have a tech background. She asked a lot of behavior questions like: What is your strength? (biz analysis skill, cross-field knowledge)Why did you leave ur last position? (small biz can't pay well; market is shrinking)Why do u apply our company?(decent company; local company, close to home; recommended by a friend) Why are u interested in this position? (have a strong tech background)And it's totally about 11 mins. Then she asked general questions like: Do you need sponsorship?( yes, but not necessary) What do you expect your salary? (50k)Can you start working right after getting the offer?(sure) Do you have any questions for me?( how do u define success in this position?)[Edited on July 19, 2013 at 4:07 PM. Reason : Then she said they would get back to me early next week.][Edited on July 19, 2013 at 4:11 PM. Reason : It's more like a screening][Edited on July 19, 2013 at 4:20 PM. I know. I didn't mean to.

If they don't ask you any technical questions over the phone before the in-person interview, then you might be ok, because that means they don't really care how technically competent you are. That also tends to be the kind of job I avoid like the plague
7/19/2013 7:36:23 PM
They already noticed me they picked someone else.
7/19/2013 8:41:43 PM
Imagine that.

can you please keep your "help me guess what the acronyms on this job description are before I interview for it even though I'm not even remotely qualified for the job" posts all in one thread instead of bumping countless other threads?
