Better go and get booze in next 28 minutes not being able to purchase after midnight is lame

While lame, midnight liquor store closure is almost a non-issue in comparison to 2am last call. That being said, I keep a very well stocked home bar (about 81 bottles of spirits, liqueurs, amaros, etc. last I checked), so I'm never sitting at home at midnight cursing the corner liquor store for being closed.

Nice. Yeah, if an establishment has workers willing to work and they have patrons willing to pay, who cares? But liquor laws are still strange all over the US. Even in NYC with a 4am last call at lots of spots, you can't sell liquor before noon on Sundays still..

West Coast states like CA/HI/NV/WA really are amazing if you're a drinker. I feel bad for anyone who has to deal with going to an ABC store, when you can not only buy whatever booze you want at the grocery store from 6am-2am 7 days a week (well, at least in CA), but you can get Costco liquor which is awesome/cheap, and happy hour is way of life. The 2am bar/club rule is kinda lame, but I'm getting kind of old to be out that late anyway I was in NC recently visiting my parents and we went to a distillery to do a bourbon tour, and I couldn't believe how archaic and convoluted the liquor laws are. Gotta love elitist west coasters, especially ones from the bay area.

Sorry NC’s and Texas’ alcohol laws suck ass. Their MJ laws are even worse.

stupid NC, can't even buy a half gallon of liquor at 7am

Agreed. Also no happy hour or bottomless bloody Mary’s. And don’t act like these things don’t matter when you know they do.
