Brian: Hey, what's up, Jesse? What do you have in your hand?
Jesse: Throwing down the pinkslip just like you.
Brian: Pinkslip for what? The Jetta?
Jesse: Yeah.
Brian: You can't bet your dad's car.
Jesse: It's all right. I ain't losin'. This fool is running a Honda 2000. I'll win. Then me and my dad can roll together when he gets out of prison. It's all good.
Brian: Well, they're gonna throw him right back in prison after he kills you.

Is that the right tire size? The tires in your photo look to be significantly too large. Stock size is 205/55/R16 front 225/50/R16 rear. A 245/50R16 rear tire is going to increase your rolling diameter.

Hope you've got upsized front tires too, otherwise have fun with the understeer

245/50/16 comp2 rotate at 810 revs per mile
225/50/16 potenza s02 at 840 revs per mile

i'm not an engineer, but idt that's a huge difference. at least not enough to have to get my speedometer recalibrated. my fronts are still stock spec, but not the stock tires. i've had zero problem with understeer. my problem was too much oversteer, especially with the shitty falkens that were on the rear, and i also wanted to maintain the s2k's sharp turn in by keeping the tires staggered. i have no oversteering problems now. i miss it a little, but i prefer the confidence when going into the corners now.

my understanding is wide tires numb steering feel even though the grip improves cornering balance.

but.... he didn't say steering feel just the word crisp seems more like a feeling than a grip...

bigger tires do diminish steering feel.

but going with a larger staggered set up leads to more understeer, the opposite of sharp turn in.

So what happens if you run a softer narrow tire in the front, and a harder wide tire in the rear? Is that a thing?

I have no idea about a car, but I've never seen anyone run soft up front and hard rear, always the reverse
