What are the odds of finding a heated stir plate?

hit or miss; just depends on when the labs decide to offload old equipment. It's certainly random chance, though I figure june - aug are the best months for finding that type of equipment. How much are stir plates normally? I could ask a friend who goes regularly to keep an eye out.
