http://www.operationsports.com/Mparas1432/blog/20601-grading-the-nfl-rookies-in-their-week-1-debut/

Quote :
"Andrew Luck
Grade: C
Stat Line: 23-45 for 309 yards passing, 51.1%, 1 TD, 3 INTs, 52.9 QB rating. Rushed for 9 yards on two attempts.

Robert Griffin III
Grade: A+
Stat Line: 19-26 for 320 yards, 73.1%, 2 TDs, 139.9 QB rating. Rushed for 42 yards on ten attempts.

Ryan Tannehill
Grade: C-
Stat line: 20-36 for 219 yards, 55.6%, 3 INTs, 39 QB rating

Brandon Weeden
Grade: F
Stat Line: 12-35 for 118 yards, 34.3%, 4 INT, 5.1 QB rating

Russell Wilson
Grade: C+
Stat Line: 18-34 for 153 yards, 52.9%, 1 TD, 1 INT, 62.5 QB rating. Rushed for 20 yards on 8 attempts.

Explanation

The most polarizing quarterback of this draft class didn’t look as good in his debut as he did in the preseason. However, the Seahawks were in the game the whole time with Wilson under center.

Wilson, like Weeden, had a chance to come from behind on a game winning drive. Instead of throwing an interception right away, Wilson and the Seahawks marched down the field into Arizona’s redzone. However, Wilson failed to convert on a fourth down to Braylon Edwards which ended the game.

Still, there’s no reason to be demanding for Matt Flynn after just one week. His composure on that final drive, and much throughout the game, was impressive.

The Seahawks will always have Matt in their pocket, but for now Wilson still seems like the best option to have.

Great game for him. Their defense and run game helped a lot though

Nice acting by Russel Wilson in a commercial for Levis. Hopefully he wont try to start a singing career instead and when Levis drops him, come back to acting and go with Wrangler. #NotBitter

but Wrangler will nestle your groin with the "U"-nest. I wouldn't have guessed that RW was a "V"-man.

Seemed kind of heavy for a Jeans commercial, but awesome that he's getting some endorsements. I'm sure Nike will jump on him pretty big with him being in the NW

I always thought Wilson's life story would make a great monologue for a clothing company.

They should pay him just for having the name.

It's been pretty tough sledding for RW so far. Barring injury It looks like RGIII has the ROY race already locked up, if Wilson is to have any shot he has to have a huge game against GB on Monday night.

Seattle has a really good defense this year though so even if RW never really gets rolling they can still easily go .500 or better if he manages the game and doesn't make too many mistakes.

I still think he has a chance to be a good QB in this league, but he's definitely realizing how steep the learning curve is in the NFL with the disguised looks at the line. One thing that is concerning is that his mobility hasn't been a weapon like it was in the preseason. He was never the fastest in college he just had great agility and vision. If he doesn't become a weapon with his feet eventually I'm not sure he can really have success in this league, it's just too important for him to be able to make plays when things break down because of his height.

I can see Wilson being the Andy Dalton to Newton's RGIII...but ESPN will continue to force Andrew Luck down our throats

Here's his big chance.

Both of these defenses have looked really good so far so this game might not be pretty though.

Seahawks definitely have a chance if their offense can do anything because the Packers o-line is struggling and Jennings isn't healthy.

Just realized Green Bay has played three ridiculously good defenses so far in San Fran, Chicago, and Seattle.

you know face, you catch a lot of shit, but I think you are a good poaster for the most part... even if I disagree, you at least have something to back you up and you are willing to put yourself out there and make bold predictions. Are they always right? no, of course not, but someone that never takes any stance cant talk about someone who does and is occasionally wrong. I applaud you.

So... maybe I just havn't been paying attention the past few decades, but I thought that players introduce themselves on MNF, or is that just SNF?

there's that GB oline i was talking about.

Seattle rushes only THREE and gets to Rodgers within 3 seconds. That's just terrible.

^^^ thanks buddy. Opinions are like nutsacs. Only half of people have them and less than that are willing to share them with strangers.

Russell is feeling the pressure and he has a tendency to start moving outside the pocket. The problem is most of the blitzes the Packers are bringing are from the edges so he's really moving into the pressure and he's not fast enough to outrun GB's speed.

He's gotta step up in the pocket and make throws when they bring outside pressure. Not the easiest thing to do with his height and lackluster receivers.
