that website looks like it was made in 1978, which is coincidentally the last time someone bought a village inn pizza and said "this is good"

Well I know that back in the day we didn't go to Village Inn Pizza because it was particularly good, we went there because we could fill up one of those large styrofoam takeout trays to go for like $0.86.

Once at Taco Bell drive thru late night I spitballed a spider like 40 feet away on the first try, my friends were amazed. Dweedle still takes credit for that.

^^ no it was sometime around 2004, I don't think it messed him up too bad because I started seeing him again about a week later with his arm in a sling, I think when the car hit him it wasn't going very fast (driver had slammed on brakes)

the average time of Wendy's would have been faster if I had accelerated to the 2nd window faster

Pretty sure that's the highest grossing Bojangles in existence, at least that's what they told their managers in training

^and so true about Wendy's, when I lived on Gorman I could go to Wendy's drive thru and be back home eating faster then it would take to go through the line inside

Getting lost on the way home from Jackpot one night and ending up in the central prison parking lot. Had to go talk to the guardshack guy to get back out.

I was about to say... Does anyone remember then the dreads guy had a cast on his leg?

He kinda reminded me of Ol' Dirty Bastard except much dirtier.

not exactly Western Blvd but getting drunk in the dollar theater was always a good time.

i remember we went to some movie there and as soon as the lights dimmed for previews, you could hear the sound of the whole theater opening cans.

I didn't get out to Western as much as Hillsborough, but that's mostly because they majority of places I lived were closer to H-boro. Only went to Amedeo's, Taco Bell, Miami Subs/Pap Lou's a few times, Ten Ten just once. The majority of the time I ate at Bojangles, KFC, Cookout, Wendy's. I remember some Italian-type place opened up in 2007 close to Village Pizza, but I can't remember what the name of it was or if it's still there. Very sad to see Dairy Queen replaced by Dunkin Donuts. In my later years, I used the laundromat that's in the Food Lion shopping center. I typically was the only white person in the place, but it was great entertainment for 1-2 hours & never felt unsafe or anything.

I have no idea how that Dunkin Donuts is still open, there's never more than a single car in the parking lot. They must have a massive early morning rush everyday or something that I don't know about.

That was the theater where I heard a teen mom tell her baby to "shut the fuck up" at least 5 times during Borat.

I was a guest on the Kid Show "Frog Hollow" when I was a kid, pretty sure it was filmed at the WRAL studios. I think I was on another show there too when I was even younger, Uncle _____'s Show, maybe?

To be fair, the baby was really cramping her style.

I made the mistake of seeing Zombieland at that theater on a Friday night. Never again.

I miss the Dunkin Donuts. I went by for coffee on Tuesday morning and they had a closed until further notice sign up. They had been having Air Conditioning issues.

One of the years when it was snowy, we went to Bo and sat by the windows watching people trying to get up the slick hill. That was good entertainment.

taco bell is/was always so slow late night.

doesn't help that there are normally 2-3 cars with people stoned out of their gourd changing their order ten times.

definitely still is, has to be in consideration for the slowest in known existance.

it's made even more comical by the fact that at lunch it operates pretty smoothly.

Is there still a Dairy Queen out there?

People would buy regular food at DQ, including chicken tenders. Across from Bojangles. WHY?
