There is no such thing as a White Castle clone. It is virtually impossible.

I have never had INO. I was recently in Vegas and now I regret not stopping there.

So is that gravy and bacon on cheese fries? Not familiar with in-n-out's menu but that looks amazing.

I tried in-n-out this most recent trip to SFO. Cookout is much better as a whole. In-n-out has better simple burgers, but cookout has better topping choices. Animal style fries are nasty; American cheese, thousand island, catchup, and sauteed onions

Had a double double animal style and fries well done a week ago. It was good, I didn't really get to enjoy it like I wanted. Will sample again when I'm in LA in the fall.

never really liked in-n-out. they just came to Austin about a year ago and the lines are always insane and I don't know why. There are so many better places to eat here

Yup, like the food trailers. Speaking of that, how is SoCo now sans food trailers?

SoCo is becoming less and less "Austin." they are building a brand new modern hotel where that food truck park was. It's still a cool place to check out/show friends who visit but East Austin is really developing to be the "cool" place imo.

So I'm fairly new to CA. I heard about all this In-n-Out burger bullshit. So I figured I would give it a shot. I walked in and looked at the menu. I was quite shocked not to find a bacon cheese burger so I asked the cashier if I could have a bacon cheeseburger. She said no, they do not have bacon because YOU CAN'T GET FRESH BACON. I was like WHAT THE FUCK...NO BACON!!! I walked out. Every respectable burger joint has bacon. Now if you want go to a real deal burger joint and you are in Houston TX check out Hubcap in The Heights and get the Black and Blue burger, sticky monkey burger, hangover burger or the quadruple heart clogger. Best burgers in the world and only three locations in the world. /rant

The best burgers I have had over the years:

(I had them all medium rare or rare)

Quote :
"Sicilian Burger
Piled high with fresh basil, tomatoes and sliced mozzarella then lightly broiled and finished with balsamic vinegar."

Quote :
"Napa Burger
Sliced Pear, red onion marmalade, goat cheese and fresh arugula."

Quote :
"Mediterranean Burger
Roasted sweet peppers, fresh arugula, Feta cheese, garlic mayo, and balsamic glazed onions."

Quote :
"Mushroom Swiss Burger
Melted Swiss cheese, grilled mushrooms and onions, garlic mayo, house-made onion straws."

Quote :
"Shrimp Burger
Shrimp, cheese, lettuce, tomato."

I was very disappointed with Chucks, but will give them another shot. Also since we're talking burgers, the lamb burger at Cowfish is wtf good. And they have some of the best fries in Raleigh.

Disappointed with chucks as well

Fries suck and its loud as fuck in there. They need some sound dampeners or something

While Cookout holds a special place in my heart, their burger loses no fucking contest to in-n-out, just like it does against Five Guys. I mean I guess if you place all importance on the exact cheddar style toppings or whatever then sure, whatever floats your boat, but the burger itself at in-n-out is far better than Cookouts.

Bad Daddy's is good shit. They have one burger with like (6) pieces of thick bacon on it.

Is it weird that I'm aroused by this place's name? Or is that the point?
