Sorry for the delay, I work weird hours. Warning! Words to follow:

She has one really good friend whom she hangs out with a lot, who is married to her cousin. Well, her cousins "brother" moved down from Washington, to the same neighborhood as her friend and her friends husband (her cousin). When she'd go hang out with her friend, this new guy kept spending more and more time with them. I didn't think too much about it, because if the guy is her cousins brother, he's also her cousin. One day I was asking about the relationship between them and I found out that the guys weren't really brothers, just some white trash connection dealing with divorces and marriages and shit, and nothing with blood, or even family ties. It was just something they kinda said. So after finding this out, I paid more attention, and one day she good me that the guy wanted her. Obviously, I was slightly suspicious of them, what with the slow emerging details. So one day, we were supposed to meet somewhere, and she didn't show so I got worried and called her friend, whom she had supposedly been staying the weekend with. Turns out, her friend hadn't seen her all weekend...she had been shacked up with doucheboy from Washington the whole weekend.

I told her last week that I wanted all her shit gone from my apartment, then Wednesday I gave her a deadline; by Friday or I was throwing it away. I thought she'd come after work Thursday, but she didn't so I texted her "so I guess you don't want your stuff?". She said she didn't feel good after work and would come get it this weekend; I told her the sooner I got her completely out of my life the better, and that her stuff was gonna be gone that night, whether she came and got it or it ended up in the dumpster. She didn't come, but every day since, there has been something from her. A note on my windshield (we work at the same company) talking about how much she loves me and wants me to "finish growing up so we can spend the rest of our life together", a text message saying how we should be spending this long weekend together, etc. Wtf, bitch? You did this, not me. I'm the one that kicked her out, but she's the one that caused it.

I think I'm in the clear...she kept texting me and calling me asking about getting the rest of her stuff today before I left town, so I put it all in bags and boxes outside my front door before I left. I told her to come get it, and she said she would then started talking about something else and I responded with "Just get out of my life and leave me alone". She hasn't said or done anything since. She had an apartment key, I've got it back now. She had the spare key to my car, but she lost it 6 months ago. Trying to decide if I want to pursue legally charging her for the replacement cost or not...a) i'm not sure if I have any legal recourse and b) it might be better just to get her completely out of my life rather than trying to recoup my losses.

Lower your insurance deductible to $250 for the next 6 months if you're really worried about it. If she's dumb enough to do something with the key she'll probably get her retarded ass caught. Send her to jail and it'll be the best $250 you've ever spent and 6 months of having a low deductible is a pretty nominal fee.

More than likely she'd just key it or spraypaint it like most people who go after "revenge"; so her having a key is probably irrelevant. That's what the $250 deductible is really for.

You can get a cheap deadbolt from Target for $9.95. Swap it in for ~6 months as well if you're really worried about it. Or just sweet talk the ladies at the front office into changing your locks for you. You'd be surprised what you can get when you pull the sympathy card. Women hate bitches.

Be sincere, even when/if you don't mean it. Just tell her that she she did it once without thinking about the consequences, and if you guys got back together and it got rocky, past events would lean to her doing it again. Tell the chick it isn't because she isn't pretty or isn't nice to talk to, hang out with, whatever, but that the trust is gone, and that there is no thing as a relationship without trust.

Be mellow and cool, even if you want to kick her in the clunge. Pissing her off gets you nowhere. Getting her back just leads to further drama. handle the shit in terms that she can't argue with, lay it out there, and move on.
