yeah I can't get behind the garage aspect, but I love the process of restoring older houses though, so the rest is cool.

^I live in Charleston, and I agree. The funny thing is people in lower income neighborhoods still try and pull that shit here...and it looks horrible. I just had a neighbor repaint their house smurf blue and it looks like shit.Now if the whole neighborhood is doing it...then I guess its okay. I will think the neighborhood looks ridiculous, but I guess you aren't sticking out like a sore thumb with your neutral colored house. I also think the ^ picture above the "bright" colors look a little muted/faded and not quite as bright as the picture the OP posted. So like he said...maybe it's the lighting.
