To me one of the biggest diversions from the actual story was with the Johnse/Nancy storyline. According to the miniseries, Nancy married Johnse to get revenge on the Hatfields, but she actually carried two children with him.I just don't understand why the two patriarchs just didn't get together and be like "Look, this shit is literally killing our families, so why don't we just end it. It should've ended with Ellison's murder. The Hatfields should've let the McCoy sons be tried in Kentucky courts.

No one wanted to be the one who gave in while the other side was still "up".Based on the series, the McCoys should have just let things die after the three sons were killed. They murdered a man in cold blood and there is no reason why the McCoys should have retaliated following their killing; at least not the way they did.

I've spent the past two weeks calling phone sex hotlines and having them talk about being prepared to do their wifely duty and then telling me where to spill my seed.

people had different motives for doing things 100 years ago, not a southern or "white trash" thing but the order of loyalty went family/community/state/"country"
