it was old joke after old joke, and old plot device after old plot device.just b/c they let you know that they knew that it was horribly unimaginative doesn't make up for the fact that it wasn't funny. at least in my opinion.

I hated how their big blow up science shit was just putting dry ice in a Gatorade bottle of water and closing the lid. Big time dissapoint.[Edited on July 3, 2012 at 7:29 PM. Reason : f]

Hot Tub Time Machine was a massive piece of shit despite featuring Mrs. Don Draper's tits. And Observe and Report was way too dark to be a broad comedy.[Edited on July 5, 2012 at 12:16 AM. Reason : .]

Watched it last night and enjoyed it. I liked the non-explosion scenes when they were like "I really thought it was going to explode that time"

so in 22 Jump Street based on the trailers, I think they're told to go to N.C. State, did they do any filming there?

Watched this again tonight. Still pretty damned funny. And i wonder if BanjoMan has changed his opinion of Brie Larson since his ugly girl comment on page one.

LOL, I remember being very annoyed by their depiction of some smart scientist just randomly making a new street drug and being able to produce it at enormous levels while avoiding detection from the authorities. That shit just doesn't happen. BUT... it is a comedy, so, I guess it has some artistic license and all. It is still an old movie trope that is very annoying to me.Those Brie Larson comments were just a sarcastic dump/rant on the movie. Having TnA in a movie isn't a requirement for it to be watchable (obviously), and actresses of course shouldn't be judged by their appearances or gratuitous gestures. In most cases it distracts from the movie, where in other cases it fits the overall storyline or makes for an iconic shot, like Rebecca Ferguson's famous "leg shot" shot in Rouge Nation. Gratuitous? Maybe...? But still iconic and well put into the movie.
