To each his own - I like the CPA as well, but their Nut Brown is very drinkable, where as I tend to switch to a lighter beer after about 3-4 Sweet Josies or Bad Pennys

Wish I could afford to do this. Saves money in the long run, but you gotta be able to produce the cash for the initial purchase.

Best recent purchase would probably be the columbia jacket I got on an end of season sale. My last one served me well for 9 years, and I got the new one at 75% off.

Yard Sweeper. I mowed last weekend and used this bad boy to get up the clippings. You can putt on my front yard right now.

Got mine at Tractor Supply for about $26.

It kicks ass. It's more powerful than any machete I've had (and I know how to sharpen a knife) but is also light for its length and the handle absorbs shock really well. The hook makes it easy to cut hanging vines and small limbs too. It's great for clearing branches, but if you're pruning a nice tree you should use a saw instead.
I love my brush axe. I've cut down a 6" sweetgum and it was just as easy as using a good hatchet. You could replace a machete and hatchet with this tool. The only drawback is you can't hammer with it like you can a hatchet.

They may be different now, I had one like 5 years ago. I looked all over the internet for extra batteries for it and couldn't find them. The one I had would fly for about 10 minutes, then charge for like 2 hours.

well yeah..guess they havent been able to achieve unlimited battery life in a single charge yet ..

i had another similar little one like this before but it really was a pain to fly and broke easily. I am amazed at this for $19 though..metal construction and has a gyro, very simple to fly.
it takes about 25-30 min to charge via USB port, flys for 10 min or so.
I'm such a fuckin dork

^hey, if you take off the two little bars connecting to the tail boom and the little arrow shaped piece it goes way faster, and the battery lasts longer. Also, take the spring out of the controller if you want to hover it much easier.

lol, I tried that too but the front weight is a lot more than the rear bars so it kept creeping backward. I think I'm gonna try taking the bars and weight off then adding some paperclips or something in the nose to balance it out.

Have you tried taking the weights out of the stabilizer? It make it fast too but it's a lot more finicky.

that is essentially what I am looking for, I too sharpen knives, but I have been duped into shitty machetes before, and that bad boy looks pretty boss... Also the machetes I have are too bulky/long to do extensive hiking with (which is another thing I would like to use it for) I think I will give it a try.

^^ I have once cut my cagina pretty seriously with a large pocket knife. I wrapped it in packing tape and papertowels, next day went to health center and I needed 5 stitches

I've used a mil spec Ontario machete and have a high quality Barteaux one and while they're nice knives they just aren't in the same league as the brush axe. It's just something about the brush axe's balance that makes it chop more efficiently. The steel is also good quality and stays sharper longer than most machetes. I think you'll like it.

Gerber has their version of the brush axe too and it comes with a nylon sheath with belt loop instead of a plastic storage sheath that comes with the Fiskars version. It's a decent sheath, but I didn't get the Gerber because they changed the handle a little while back. They used to be exactly like the Fiskars but now they have rubber coated handles that I don't like.
I'll eventually make a sheath to carry mine on my belt.

It would appear that google music actually wants me to upload the library that i want to have in their 'cloud'. Thats cool because I wouldn't have to leave my computer on all the time- but i really don't want to upload 20k songs to google

my best machete thus far is a Ka-Bar Kukri Machete, nice weight, balance, and quality steel. It also comes with a sheath but I am definitely always looking for awesome cutwear
