2/29/2012 6:12:17 PM
^^ Just pick a date that works for you and if the other guys can't make it, tough shit. Can't wait for everyone to respond plus someone is always going to have a conflict.
2/29/2012 6:20:51 PM
Saturday March 31, 8:00pm ET.
2/29/2012 8:37:22 PM
Sounds like a real party
2/29/2012 9:05:20 PM
I'm just assuming most people work here so Sunday-Thursday is off, and people can afford one night off.[Edited on February 29, 2012 at 9:07 PM. Reason : .]
2/29/2012 9:06:32 PM
lol, the 31st is the only day in March that I can't do the draft........but if everyone else can do it then, don't let me spoil the party.
2/29/2012 9:10:20 PM
I'm just going to send out PMs, the draft isn't for a while so I can figure out who can/can't make when.
2/29/2012 11:57:19 PM
Not sure why people working would make Sunday-Thursday off limits, unless you plan on this thnig lasting 3 hrs.... I would honestly like it to be during the week.
3/1/2012 9:31:34 AM
Draft Thursday at 8 reminder
3/27/2012 4:30:39 PM
This may cost me getting laid this week but I'll be there. Perhaps I can combine the two...
3/27/2012 5:40:05 PM
George Costanza style, just try not to fly too close to the sun on wings of pastrami
3/27/2012 6:41:37 PM
Whoever takes any of the A's or Mariners get credit for the games played tomorrow and thursday morning? i.e. If someone drafts Felix and he wins tomorrow, will they get credit for his W the first week?
3/27/2012 9:01:05 PM
I'm not sure, but it should count. I'll know for sure after the draft and make sure it doesn't effect end results, but it shouldn't since this is roto.
3/27/2012 9:31:00 PM
no credit, you just lose out on those stats.
3/28/2012 12:25:42 AM
Anyone remember how long the draft took last year? Just trying to get an idea on time frame we are looking at. Looks like 26 people on the roster so I'm assuming 26 rounds so max theoretical time would be 7.8 hours... haha
3/28/2012 9:03:19 AM
i've got a draft tomorrow night...looks like its only gonna be a 6-team league this year (people having babies and shit and not playing this year)...looking forward to a stacked team with that few in the league
3/29/2012 2:00:42 PM
Draft in about an hour dont forget noobs! 2nd pick which means I'm set at 1B at least haha
3/29/2012 7:06:40 PM
dammit, I got stuck at work dealing with bullshit and missed the draft. (west coast, so draft was at 5 here)indifferent about my team. for some reason the computer drafted me 5 2nd basemen.
3/30/2012 3:55:43 AM
So it did add the stats that were already accumulated this season, so there should be no problem. Good luck in the season everyone
3/30/2012 3:09:58 PM
I wanted to join. Damn
3/30/2012 3:18:25 PM
so this Giancarlo Stanton guyis he the real deal or is he gonna bat .260 this year[Edited on March 30, 2012 at 4:47 PM. Reason : please guys, i have a draft tonight]
3/30/2012 4:47:13 PM
Anyone interested in joining a keeper league with a draft tonight? $20 per person and we need four teams.Four folks dropped out and it is a keeper league. So the four of us left can keep up to five players which means newcomers could get lots of picks in a row if everyone picks keepers. I'm not the commish, but let me know if you're interested.
4/4/2012 9:37:08 AM
would there be any interest in like a $5 or so league that would draft at around 8 or so tonight? Just like 8 or so teams? Didn't get in a money league this year, and I know it is very small stakes, but it would be something. Figure it is too late, and there won't be much interest, but I posted anyway.
4/4/2012 4:45:30 PM
yahoo's stattracker doesnt realize the regular season has started
4/4/2012 7:20:45 PM
I'm so confused how this scoring system works?ROTISSERIE POINTS?[Edited on April 10, 2012 at 12:02 AM. Reason : ya]
4/10/2012 12:00:02 AM
^http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/sports/fantasysports/baseball/scoring/baseball-24.htmlPretty much goes like this:Say you have a 5 team league. Whoever has the most home runs gets 5 points for the Home run stat. Whoever has 2nd most home runs gets 4 points, on down to whoever has the least home runs gets 1 point. If there are two people that are tied with the most home runs, they would get an average of the total points for 1st and 2nd. So you get 5 pts + 4 pts = 9 pts/2 people = 4.5 pts per person. Goes the same way if you have 3 people tied.So say you have 3 people tied with 10 home runs. 5 pts + 4 pts + 3 pts = 12 pts / 3 people = 4 pts per person.
4/10/2012 12:46:05 AM
ahhhhhh i c. I get it now. thanks!
4/10/2012 8:57:03 PM
first time playing fantasy sports Steven?
4/10/2012 8:58:35 PM
1st time playing with this scoring system.I must be doing something right, I'm in 1st place.
4/10/2012 9:01:35 PM
^this season is the first time i've messed with fantasy baseball/rotisserie as well, so I had to look it up myself a couple weeks ago. It is pretty easy to understand once its explained.
4/11/2012 3:18:31 AM
Damnit, 1 hit no runs going into the 9th and Verlander gives up 4 runs for the loss.
4/11/2012 3:58:38 PM
Had both Lidge and Grienke in today. Combined line so far;4.2 IP 5K, 19.29 ERA, 3.00 WHIP
4/12/2012 4:06:16 PM
I had Lincecum and Josh Johnson last night. Two aces!
4/12/2012 4:21:21 PM
Matt Moore/David Ortiz or Tim Lincecum/Jason Heyward. Which do you want?
4/13/2012 9:37:25 PM
thanks Matt Kemp
4/15/2012 8:45:17 PM
Am I the only one that thinks they should modify WHIP to include HBP?
4/16/2012 11:30:20 AM
My team is terrible! How long should I wait before I start dumping people haha
4/16/2012 11:49:55 AM
If we added a waiver move category, I'd get 12 desperately needed points
4/16/2012 2:09:34 PM
Adrian Gonzalez and Tulowitzki aren't exactly lighting it up for me as my first two picks
4/16/2012 3:28:26 PM
4/16/2012 3:31:08 PM
0-14-0 the first week
4/16/2012 3:42:48 PM
I realize this is a thread about your fantasy league, and although I am not in your league, please hear me out... In my 5x5 roto league I used my FAAB bucks to stock up on closers during the early situations that developed, so I'm currently sitting on these 3 and a half closers:Carlos Marmol, Sergio Santos, Hector Santiago + Henry Rodriguez and Sergio RomoI'm generally comfortable in this league with just 2 closers, so I'm looking to trade one...out of the first 3, which would you look to get rid of and would Cespedes be enough to get back?
4/16/2012 4:25:56 PM
I'd try to move Romo right now before people realize how terrible SF's bats are
4/16/2012 4:56:25 PM
I'm kind of assuming no one is going to bite on Romo or Rodriguez ... that will be my first offer to anyone for sure, but seeing as neither of them are the clear closer, I don't think I'll get any takers
4/16/2012 5:00:07 PM
Put it this way, if you were going to trade for a closer, how many of those guys would you really trade for? It's realistic that 4 of those 5 guy might not even be closing games two weeks from now (Marmol).
4/16/2012 5:22:55 PM
At this point I'm strictly dealing with the teams who are desperate for saves (3 teams have only 1 or 2 saves thus far)Cespedes was drafted in the 18th round...he's outperforming that right now, but I fairly sure the guy who owns him will give him up for one of these closers. The question is, should I be looking for more, and which of those 3 (Carlos Marmol, Sergio Santos, Hector Santiago) should I be looking to get rid of first
4/16/2012 5:26:27 PM
I would say Santos, but Santiago is unproven. Marmol is safe.
4/16/2012 6:19:35 PM
Wtf Lincecum
