I already figured out how to improve the new NSX. Rip all that hybrid shit out and toss in a small block Chevy

why doesn't anyone like sbfs? (they're smaller and every bit as powerful) well then there is the new one... 650hp 5.8l dohc

I guess the Ford engine would work better. This car is mid-engine so toss in the Ford GT's engine!

That project makes baby jesus cry. What a horrible thing to do to an NSX!

it's actually a pretty badass build, he's done most of the work himselfthe engineering is phenominalcarbon brakes, ls7 connected to a porsche transmissionwhile I don't like some aspect of it, it's pretty impressive

or he could have just done an ultima gtr.
1/11/2012 2:23:41 PM
^exactly. I really don't see the point of destroying a perfectly good NSX.

Honda says new NSX will be priced like a 911 and bring 458 excitement
10/29/2013 7:57:53 AM
Good news, but I'll believe it when I see it.

sounds suspiciously like the original formula...great sports car, but too much price and not enough power.
10/29/2013 9:33:11 AM
Considering that its direct competitors have between 500 and 600 hp, I am guessing it will come in at around 450 hp. And if you think about it, 450, is enough to have fun around a small track, assuming it will be relatively light. Super cars have gone mad coming in between 7xx and 9xx hp. Where the hell are you going to use all that power? This is what else the development chief said:

"Too much horsepower is never enough"John HennessyAnd to be honest the reason for it is with a 650hp mustang you have to make a strong case for the extra 200 grand most super cars cost.

but is that 130+ mph?

Yeah but the lines are getting blurred, and anyway, every new generation of a super car comes with more power. If current trends continue, in 10 to 15 years the 458 Italia successor will have 7xx hp. So will the GTR, 911 Turbo and GT2, and Gallardo successor. What would you consider the F12 Berlinetta? It has 730 hp. Super or hyper? Consider its past 4 predecessors:550 Maranello: 485 hp575 Maranello: 508 hp599 GTB Fiorano: 612 hp599 GTO: 650 hpSo if it has 730 hp now, what about the next gen or the one after that? The LaFerrari is definitely a hypercar, with 963 hp . But what about its past 3 predecessors:F40: 478 hpF50: 512 hpEnzo: 650 hpThat one definitely seems to have skipped a few generations by going from 650 hp to 963 hp in one generation . And what will the next one have 10 years from now, rocket propulsion?

Getting pretty insane for sure...
