If our guys were smart enough to notice them overplaying on defense and hit em with a back door pass or two here, they would stop this defense.

Btw, it concerns me a little that Campbell can play defense like this, but we choose not to. Our defense in basketball is a little like CJ Wilson in football. Play off of them and still allow them to go by you.

We have 5 turnovers in the last few minutes just because they are overplaying the pass and we are not recognizing that.

Just not smart basketball. Painter's FTs came from exploiting that, but we are not committed to running that kind of play.

There should also never be a situation where the guard goes under the screen AND the big doesn't hedge. That's an easy shot for them every time.

If you go under the screen, there should be a hedge. If you go over the screen, there doesn't necessarily need to be a hedge.

If you don't get the details right, they get easy points.

WTF kind of shot was that by howell? He had a fucking dunk out of that pick and roll. Not a good sequence for him. Rebound bounces off his hand on one end, commits foul on the other.

i am so fucking sick of us not defending the three pointer.

that was our biggest problem under lowe and somehow it's become an even bigger problem under gottfried.

we have a team of fucking 4* and 5*, why are we horrendous defensively and one of the worst teams in the COUNTRY defending the 3pter and forcing turnovers???

This team is absolutely appalling to watch. If you'd told me we'd have a top 20 offense I'd think we'd be a 5-7 seed in the NCAA tournament not off the bubble watch for the NIT.

What sucks is that I am still seeing some of the SAME things that has plagued this team since game one. Silly turnovers, lazy play, lazy defense, going underneath screens against 3 pt shooters, etc.

I wonder if it's in the cards to switch to a pressure defense once purvis et. al. get here? I can see Howell and Painter getting embarrassed on back cuts. Same thing for Williams. The team would also have to understand the concept of help defense.

Pressure defense bets that the other team can't pass or dribble well enough to beat the pressure, which is a very good bet in college basketball. It's served coach K well over the decades. It's serving Campbell very well right now.

We cant pass or handle the ball quite well enough to beat the pressure.
