Nets lost by 36 tonight. Horner got 4 points, 1-3 shooting, 2-2 FT, 2 Rebs in 8 minutes. I assume it was in mop-up time.
12/28/2011 12:19:26 AM
Costner is still kickin it in the NBADL, he went 5-10 from 3 last week and is still one of the top scorers in the league. Here is to hoping that he gets called up to the big leagues.

^Fuck off. Horner was a below average ACC basketball player. Don't make him into Pistol fucking Pete because he miraculously latched on to an NBA roster.I will say having perhaps a top 5 all-time bad ACC coach for four years didn't help.side note: That was a tad bit on the agro side. My apologies. ]

Horner got cut from like the worst team in Belgium and somehow lucked onto the roster of the Nets, therefore he is retroactively a great player in NC State history. Let's retire the number 31 but instead of putting white numbers on the red jersey we can burn them in with an eternal flame.
1/1/2012 1:43:18 AM
jesus christ people are mad about a guy from our team making the nets b/c it makes them look wrong?
1/1/2012 2:00:34 AM
I'm happy for him but that doesn't change the fact that he wasn't very good here

^ I have no idea what this means. The D-league in bball isn't the same as baseball. Will he get called up or will he forever be a king of poor saps that didn't get drafted. IDK, but I think that he would better than *cough* Hansbro *cough*.
1/6/2012 6:44:21 PM
Just think if costner had the will of hansbrough
1/6/2012 7:00:56 PM
Costner can will it in... for a cheeseburger

can't decide if this thread will eventually focus on Arizona State players, or if this is an outlet for ncstatetke to ween himself off his foolish addiction to the Sun Devils]
1/10/2012 1:34:07 PM
horner and hickson
1/10/2012 2:57:36 PM
and Damien Wilkins
1/10/2012 3:33:34 PM
Hansbrough is a valuable rotation player on a playoff team. Costner wouldn't get off the bench for the fucking Bobcats.
1/10/2012 3:37:06 PM
^Yes he would. And Hasbro is not that valuable.
1/10/2012 3:52:07 PM
^ if he would play for the bobcats, he'd be signed to the bobcats.
1/10/2012 3:54:52 PM
wut
1/10/2012 3:58:50 PM
There's homerism, there's blind homerism, there's blind rampant homerism without any regard for facts or empirical evidence, and then there's the NC State fans who think Brandon Costner is a superior NBA talent to Tyler Hansbrough. Bravo. You've reached a new low.[Edited on January 10, 2012 at 4:22 PM. Reason : x]
1/10/2012 4:20:59 PM
What are you considered if you think Horner is talented enough to make an NBA roster?[Edited on January 10, 2012 at 4:23 PM. Reason : ]
1/10/2012 4:22:44 PM
Hansbrough is pretty valuable. I know this because he is on my fantasy team.
1/10/2012 4:23:23 PM
Horner breaks all the rules. No one saw that coming.
1/10/2012 4:27:51 PM
The GM of the Nets is like the biggest State homer of all time, apparently.
1/10/2012 4:44:10 PM
Horner reminds Prokhorov of a poor orphan boy he remembered who would beg for potatoes outside of Gorky Park
1/10/2012 4:45:55 PM
He once burned a basketball in a trashcan to keep from freezing to death one cold February nightThe rest is history
1/10/2012 4:53:19 PM
Nah, it was January. The 31 represents the last day of the month before they got more heating oil. A burned basketball always means it's the 31st.
1/12/2012 3:03:07 AM
Now, he's getting a tattoo, yeah, he's gettin ink doneHe asked for a 13, but they drew a 31Friends say he's trying too hard and he's not quite hipBut in his own mind, he's the, he's the dopest trip.
1/12/2012 7:57:03 AM
hansbrough really isnt that good. career 43% shooter from the field as a PF. thats pathetic. oh, and he's already 26i doubt costner would do any better but there are worse players collecting nba checks than him. horner being one of them
1/12/2012 1:52:30 PM
yah but hansbro is having a decent year off of the bench.
1/12/2012 2:57:42 PM
^ And he played very well in the playoffs last year when they played the Bulls tough. He had like 10 pts and 5 rebs a game. Plus...his "will" was a big factor.
1/12/2012 3:16:30 PM
His reading of "Chicken Little": Flawless
1/12/2012 3:18:34 PM
^^ Hansbrough was terrible in the playoffs last year.I think you were thinking about Tyson Chandler.
1/12/2012 3:38:09 PM
^ He had a positive impact for the Pacers in the playoffs last year. I will stand by that.
1/12/2012 3:39:12 PM
Okay, but you're incorrect because he was terrible.33% FG shooting on 12 shots a game is awful.5 rebounds in 32 minutes for a PF is HORRIBLE.You can't win with guys playing that poorly in the NBA. Hence the reason they went out and got a real PF in free agency this year.

There's your problem you watched the games and formed a biased opinion and now you can't look at it objectively
1/12/2012 6:25:23 PM
I, for once, agree with faceTyler was turrible last year in the playoffs
1/12/2012 6:53:06 PM
Good Night, Sweet Prince...

He get cut?I found this gem under "News & Notes" under his player profile on Yahoo:

1/18/2012 10:48:19 AM
Yeah, he thought he had us tricked, but then we saw some old tapes from 2009.
1/18/2012 10:51:39 AM
It was fun while it lasted. Now back to just Hickson and Powell.
1/18/2012 2:01:41 PM
Nets with Horner: 3-11Nets without Horner: 2-1
1/23/2012 7:25:26 AM
maybe horner can sign on with an NFL team as a tight end now.
