There was a guy, who the defense was paying, who said "in my opinion" yada yada yada, but I do not remember a compelling argument accompanying that opinion, especially considering the fall did not begin from the top of the stairs, but rather, like 4 steps up. A fall could have caused her wounds but not this fall.

I also do not remember hearing a compelling argument from the defense explaining the amount of blood, everywhere, including the [again paid] chinese dude saying she could have coughed up all that blood up against the wall in between massive bites from his free lunch.

Binged the documentary this weekend. I wish we had as much time with the prosecution as we did with the defense. I don't understand how the blow-poke was the assumed murder weapon... How was there never a theory of "he shoved her down the stairs"? Maybe her injuries just didn't match that... but that seemed waaaay more plausible than he beat her with the blow-poke.

Purely from he documentary, I think he did it; but they didn't prove it beyond a reasonable doubt. I may have a different opinion if I had actually been in the courtroom.

If I was on the jury, based on the documentary, I would have found a reasonable doubt. After sitting through my dad's trial, i have seen first hand how prosecutors lie and make up "facts" just to win the case. It's not about finding the truth, it's all about winning.

I remember hearing about the owl thing years ago and thinking it was just a coincidence that the talons matched the cuts on her head so well.

Then I saw a video on WRAL.com where a guy in Apex or somewhere close had an owl swoop down and get him just like they described. Then I read some report from some French expert.

I would probably vote not guilty at this point. Very Plausible.
