i actually enjoyed a Wiig episode for once, the survey at the end was pretty good.

also liked the premise of the jay pharaoh show

didnt really like the jay pharoah one, matter of fact getting tired of jay pharoah all together. he does the same four impersonations over and over and over and thats it. then they decided to invent some skit for him to do the same thing and only thing he's been doing since he got there.

Fortunately, there's nothing to prevent us from doing a little "What up with that?" and hammer dance on our own!

^^^^ I'm pretty sure that skit was a send-up of the very fact that he's only given those four parts. He was intentionally boring when not doing an impression.

maybe, chris farley has been the only one in recent memory who did not create his own recurring characters and bits. if jay pharaoh had any talent he'd be able to come up with something else.

You'll have plenty of time to come up with something else WHEN YOU'RE LIVING IN A VAN DOWN BY THE RIVER.

the dance skit. what was the point of that? i saw no attempt at comedy. they keep doing these retro skits that are all horrible for some reason.

karmin is horrible. how they have made it to snl cracks me up.

if you've ever seen a french film you'd laugh, not absolutely hilarious as its pretty niche but I definitely laughed a few times

first 45 minutes or so was the best theyve had all season, first two clint eastwood commercials killed it, karmin looked extremely uncomfortable in high heels

Karmin made Lana Del Rey look like Whitney Houston

that was mindblowingly horrendous

Loved the Nicholas Cage skit.

It have the two things that makes a Nicholas Cage movie.
1. All dialog is either whispered or screamed.
2. Everything in the movie is on fire.

I like Bronx Beat because it's great character actors playing idiosyncratic characters with goofy accents, even if it's the same skit every time.

Lohan was pretty awful. I usually love the Scared Straight skit and I guess the gimmick with her playing herself was funny, but her delivery sucked.

Some people are upset that Jack White turned down the digital short, but I don't know why people are surprised. When a guy is so focused on image that he shows up to a two-song performance with two bands, why wouldn't he turn down something he doesn't have creative control over?

How is there not an SNL impersonator for Touré from MSNBC?

I'll take Andy Samberg in blackface at this point.

This needs to happen.

True enough, but I've seen some fairly obscure impersonations on the show recently, ranging from Justin Timberlake impersonating Justin Vernon to Andy Samberg impersonating Rick Santorum very early in the primaries.
