I was also doubtful Amerson would get a pick yesterday. Great to see the hype, hopefully he can continue his great play. Has the nfl size.[Edited on November 6, 2011 at 7:44 AM. Reason : .]

they never throw to him anymore... he covers the wide side of the field rarely with safety help... its a beautiful thing. reminds me of woodson

Every time Chapel Hill looked in his direction he was all over the ball. He's a hawk. If he keeps improving he's going to be an NFL caliber CB, seriously. The kid is a stud. He's into the game too. You can watch him getting pumped when we're lining up and before he makes plays. I wish I had some footage from yesterday... He covered a receiver on the visitor's side of the field and positioned himself right in between Renner and the receiver. If Renner had tried to throw to that receiver, it WOULD have been a pick six. Instead Renner threw it high and out of bounds and you could see Amerson throw his hands down in frustration. I love him. He's this year's Nate Irving, I ALWAYS look for #1 just like last year I was always watching Nate.[Edited on November 6, 2011 at 4:23 PM. Reason : .]

LOL He did, but that's expected of a Hole fan.

At one point coming out of a timeout or something music was playing in the stadium and he was bobbing his head and just staring at Hightower for like 30 seconds and then started clapping his hands at him and shit. It was a great moment for me.
11/6/2011 9:06:12 PM
Yep, that was during the LMFAO song right? I noticed him dancing as well.
11/6/2011 9:19:36 PM
has it been mentioned that he was named a Jim Thorpe Award semifinalist (best college DB)?http://www.jimthorpeassoc.org/2011/10/31/thorpe-award-semifinalists-announced/

Wow, Audie Cole is ABOVE Vontaze Burfict (the man who was projected to be the #1 LB in the draft at the beginning of the season)!?!? I didn't even expect him to be considered, but nice.Amerson at #8!

oh yeah I know but hopefully he'll keep this up as long as he stays with us. he could easily play receiver too
11/12/2011 1:11:45 PM
why would you want to put this kid at WR? he's a monster as a dback. this isn't a video game, he can't run circles all day.and i can't tell who it is on the replay, but the block to start that return was brutal.
11/12/2011 1:15:57 PM
I wouldn't on this team but an NFL team may have different needs. he played WR in high school. who would have thought an NFL team would use Armanti Edwards as a PR after he threw for two national championships?[Edited on November 12, 2011 at 1:51 PM. Reason : .]
11/12/2011 1:51:18 PM
to be fair, that NFL team is retarded and Edwards blows ass
11/12/2011 1:53:27 PM
has someone credible brought this up or are people just saying "well he played WR in high school, so he could probably play WR in the nfl too!"?i don't know why you'd look at a kid that our staff evaluated as not a d1 receiver who is playing great as a d1 dback and think he'd play even better in the nfl as a receiver. one has to assume that our staff is better at evaluating players than the staff at dudley high school in greensboro.so what am i missing here?
11/12/2011 2:17:23 PM
You're not missing anything. ncsuallday just doesn't know anything about football.
11/12/2011 2:21:14 PM
actually the announcer said it right after he made the pick so I'm the only one saying this. guy actually said something about him being from Greensboro and watched him a lot in high school and was surprised they didn't play him at WR because of his hands and speed (and prior experience). oh and my original quote

lol
11/12/2011 2:58:08 PM
^^^ okay that's a well established fact that no one is arguing. why did you just post that?
11/12/2011 3:13:13 PM
Bruce Carter played QB in high school fwiw
11/13/2011 3:29:40 PM
They could put some packages together for amerson at WR. say 10 snaps a game or less. TJ is MIA lately.
11/13/2011 3:48:22 PM
Do you guys really want our best defensive player to blow out his knee playing offense? Because that's what would happen.
11/13/2011 3:51:51 PM
11/13/2011 3:56:17 PM
Thought that was a joke suggestion.
11/13/2011 5:03:44 PM
seriously people... anyone suggesting some offense has all said "PART TIME"half the possessions per game, half the snaps per possession
11/13/2011 5:25:50 PM
suggesting ANY time at offense is silly.
11/13/2011 5:29:34 PM
tell charles woodson that
11/13/2011 5:32:17 PM
just because you can give me an example of someone that's done it before doesn't mean that it's a good idea.
11/13/2011 5:36:39 PM
did you tell charles or not?!?
11/13/2011 5:37:43 PM
no, but i did just read wikipedia's summary of desmond howard's career.
