Angel's sister would get it. The preview clip was quick, but does she get kidnapped at some point in the season?

The priest or w/e from Mad Men season 2 is the religious protegee killer in DexterNeat casting
10/4/2011 9:50:35 PM
protege or mentor?
10/4/2011 9:53:30 PM
^^Colin Hanks?
10/4/2011 10:36:48 PM
yeah I don't watch Mad Men so I don't know who is in it
10/4/2011 10:37:50 PM
yeah, Colin Hanks^We just started watching on Netflix...its pretty good.
10/4/2011 11:01:33 PM
He had just starred in The Good Guys on Fox, but they canceled it. Sad, 'cause I liked it.He's always been a pretty decent actor, which I guess runs in his family, haha!
10/5/2011 7:36:29 AM

Deb reminds me of Hope Solo
10/9/2011 9:21:05 PM
funny, Hope Solo reminded everyone of Deb during the World Cup
10/9/2011 9:35:38 PM
Nice episode. There were points I thought it would go in a different direction and I'm glad it didn't.
10/10/2011 11:15:16 PM
<3 deb
10/10/2011 11:19:34 PM
This shit is on cruise control
10/10/2011 11:30:51 PM
Predictions:1) Quinn gets Dextered2) Deb finds out about Dexter ... oh wait, 6 fucking seasons and that still hasn't happened.
10/17/2011 8:25:07 PM
looks like I'll have to hit up Showtime on demand after the mnf game, I keep missing the original airing because of snf
10/17/2011 9:28:03 PM
why would quinn get dexter'dThe Olmos/Hanks stuff feels really weird. The show has never really followed a killer like this before and it doesn't feel right.Like, Dexter is unaware of them, which normally would mean we are unaware of them.
10/17/2011 9:30:06 PM
Because Deb's boyfriends/ex's always end up dead, and he's been around for like 3 seasons already.
10/17/2011 9:45:32 PM
eh, i feel like if they planned to dexter him it would've happened last season as a result of his investigating dex
10/17/2011 10:15:55 PM
^^^ i like it. It was getting kind of stale imo. Every season was kind of the same... i mean, every episode is almost the same at this point.AVClub made a good point in recent episode review; Do they really need to do a kill every week? It's formulaic. I have liked some of the tone in the first 2 episodes, it seemed a littler darker than it had in recent seasons... from Dexter's perspective. But we'll see, I just know I'm starting to lose interest. So hopefully they do something, anything to make it different than every other season.
10/17/2011 10:25:09 PM
i've always wondered what would happen when he runs out of space in his slide caseguess it's irrelevant now? the end was pretty bone chilling to me. didn't think that was what the mannequins were for.
10/17/2011 11:37:26 PM
Enjoyed the episode. Always cool to get a little more insight into Dex as a child. Holy WTF at him dropping his slides.Unless Quinn goes on a killing spree he's safe from Dexter. He's just reverted back into King-Douche mode (although lulz at his bored face while fucking the girl during the last scene)Personal prediction on Olmos & Hanks is that Olmos' character is a figment of Hanks' psyche.
10/18/2011 7:35:58 AM
That prediction makes sense to me, good call. And I'm one of those people that complain about little things but I think it's a little unbelievable how he has all this time during the day to stake out storage lockers for a couple of hours and run errands. He used to do it all at night but now he can't because of Harrison and it's just hard to believe nobody would be like "um where the fuck have you been"
10/18/2011 8:17:58 AM
I thought it was cool they brought up the Ice Truck Killer for the first time in a long while. The whole time I thought that Ryan chick was gonna be just another lab dork and now I'm starting to wonder if she's going to have a major role before the season is over. There's got to be some big implications over her stealing the prosthetic arm.Just throwing it out there, what if Harrison gets killed at the end of the season?
10/18/2011 1:58:54 PM
I thought it was weird for Masuka to bring out the ice truck killer stuff. You got Deb, who is your new boss, and you bring out evidence from her most traumatizing moment from her life. Not a good move.
10/18/2011 2:08:50 PM
When does Masuka make good moves?
10/18/2011 2:09:38 PM
10/18/2011 2:18:59 PM
^I wish the storyline would go in that direction. Was really hoping for her to find out in last season's finale.
10/19/2011 12:04:42 AM
That's what pretty much everyone is waiting for, right? When will Deb find out, how will she find out, and how will she react? imo, the entire series pretty much exists for that chain of events at this point. Otherwise, it's pretty much just a procedural -- Dexter has a season long badie, and an episode to episode badie (his kill of the week/2weeks).
10/19/2011 12:54:40 AM
she took the prosthetic arm and then we see the mannequin arms on the horses at the endi think it's a huge stretch (for her to be involved w/ Hanks' scheme), but i couldn't help but think it was significant at the time
10/19/2011 1:11:29 AM
Olmos be creepin'
10/23/2011 9:46:12 PM
no spoilers until after they replay it at midnight
10/23/2011 10:46:40 PM
so i'm leaning towards olmos not being a figment of hank's imagination.[Edited on October 23, 2011 at 10:57 PM. Reason : ;l]
10/23/2011 10:57:40 PM
^ I'm thinking he was real, but died a few years ago. I still haven't seen anyone other than Hanks interact with him.
10/24/2011 7:55:00 AM
Yeah, I watched it closely when they were at that restaurant. The waitress never even slightly glanced at Olmos when she came over to refill his drink. I also didn't notice a drink or anything in front of him on the table either.
10/24/2011 8:05:08 AM
Didn't he tie up the girl though?
10/24/2011 9:44:03 AM
All we know is Hanks' character woke up and walked in to the kitchen to see her tied there. No one to say that he didn't pull a Tyler Durden on himself.
10/24/2011 9:56:29 AM
oh duh, forgot about that partbut ^ is right. I don't think she really looked at Olmos then either
10/24/2011 10:22:07 AM
10/24/2011 10:52:26 AM

^^ fair enough. I don't really like procedurals too much. So I'll lose interest if it becomes too consistently, formulaic. I do still enjoy it week to week, but I'm not quite as interested as I when I first started watching it about a year and half ago or so.Yeah, I like the brother Sam character quite a bit too.I watched the diner scene carefully and the waitress didn't acknowledge Olmos at all -- which had me sold that he wasn't real. Then they showed the guy was real, but has been missing for a few years. So then I wasn't quite sure what to think (still being imagined, or is she that shitty of waitress that she didn't even look at him or ask if he needed anything). So watching the kitchen scene very closely, she never acknowledges Olmos there either. She only looks at Hanks and in Hanks' direction. I also thought it was interesting that when he wakes up, the bed is very orderly. Was she ever actually in the bed? Or did he tie her up in the kitchen, make the bed, and then get back in it?I'm thinking Hanks was a student of Olmos', really bought into his shit and killed Olmos because Olmos wouldn't take it as far as he wanted. Or, they legitimately started on this path together but Olmos died along the way.
10/24/2011 3:23:38 PM
i think they were in bed and in the back of his mind he knew it was 'immoral' (olmos looking through the door crack) and made note to punish himself later onalso, i think eventually, when Dexter learns about Hanks' seeing/getting advice from his mentor in his mind, he's going to try to compare it to how his dad is always popping into his mind to give him advice[Edited on October 24, 2011 at 3:38 PM. definitely thinking that olmos died a few years prior and is now in travis' head.
10/24/2011 8:35:34 PM
Just finished last episode and definitely came here to post the "Olmos character is in Travis's head" theory. Never gets acknowledged by any other characters, and towards the end when the woman is tied up in the kitchen it is a shot of Olmos staring down at the girl, and they cut to a shot of Dexter's dad staring down at Harrison, lots of other little things.I'm on board with the theory that Travis was a student, killed him 3 years ago. I'm just throwing this out there, but I think his sister may just be in his head too- she was killed with or instead of his parents like he says.
10/24/2011 10:17:04 PM
im'a hafta watch episode 3 again...watched the first two on demand so i could rewind when i wanted, watched episode 3 "live"...i dont have dvr at the moment
10/24/2011 10:32:04 PM
I didn't think about the Olmos-not-existing thing.I'm debating whether or not I should drop this bomb on my looney-for-Dexter friend or not... Hmmm...
10/24/2011 11:54:57 PM
i'd be pissedi was kinda pissed that i read it in here, now it's all i thought about during the show, seeing things that confirm it it's not very creative (i.e. fight club and others have done it) ... so i hope they 'reveal' that he's fake sooner than later, but i doubt they will[Edited on October 25, 2011 at 12:05 AM.
