There used to be a Hardee's Skat-Thru somewhere between Raleigh and Goldsboro. So they must have been amicable before one bought the other out or whatever.

Skats was a separate restaurant created by the largest franchisee of Hardee's, Boddie Noell. It became a problem with Hardee's decided to open restaurants in the same towns that had Skats. Eventually, Boddie Noell turned the Skats fried chicken restaurants into Hardee's. The Hardee's that have fried chicken are probably Hardee's franchises that are owned by Boddie Noell. I imagine that the ones without friend chicken are owned by a different franchisee.

had a coupon for some hardee's chicken, so deemarie picked some up. we used to get it on the way to the local races when i was a kid, but i didn't even know some locations still had it.

yeah, bojangles is too greasy. only chicken i like there is the cajun filet and the wings. bojangles sides are superior.

i wanna get the chicken and biscuits from hardee's and then go get some dirty rice and pintos from bojangles. best of both worlds.

tea is a toss-up. the tea from hardee's was good tonight. little sweeter than bojangles, but pretty good.

Hardees had some great fried chicken. They should bring it back. Also my uncle used to be a regional manager for a Hardees and used to get me and my brothers all kinds of Hardees merchandise. I had a sweet plastic Hardees nascar that looked a little like this:

I'm pretty sure we had a Skat's in Currituck on the way to the beach. It's a Hardee's now though.

the hardee's in princeton on hwy 70 was a skats back in the day
