I bet J. Giles would actually play here back then, too.

Now they can only get shit like Daughtry.

I wonder if that's the same Big Bad Wolf--I remember the existence of that one but it doesn't look like the same building. Regardless, I *love* the logo of Tuffy in a top hat with a beer. Too bad the trademarks office/university legal would never let that fly today.

Ha, I remember cop cars looking like that when I was a small kid. Half expected Roscoe P. Coltrane to pop his head out of one.

I get the sense that the people being filmed were not used to people taking videos of stuff. Part of it was because taking videos was a more expensive and uncommon thing back then, but also because whatever equipment was used to shoot this was probably gigantic.

I was just checking out GoPack.com this morning looking for some new gear. I live outside the state so it is hard for me to get it. They definitely already have some stuff with the Hungry Mr. Wolf on it. I found one already I might pick up.

^ Thanks for the heads up!

Now that they've torn down the bookstore, where does one go on campus to find State gear?

I hope they expand the retro line with stuff like the diamond S, normal S that was on the FB helmets before the diamond S, snarling wolf logo (pretty similar to the hungry wolf), and the old strutting wolf (still hate that they changed it). I'd buy the hell out of that stuff.

Looks like it. I think most of those places, save the topless bar, stayed there into the 90s. Pretty sure that's Baxley's on the corner, in the little house that was Marrakesh and Starbucks more recently.

I actually remember that sign being at Western Lanes. And the Brother's sign stayed like that until it closed.

I don't make it back to Raleigh much. I didn't realize there was yet another new place in that little house.

Huh, found a Facebook group for the old Rathskeller:

I was hoping they could make some shirts with the diamond logo on it, but after asking, apparently they don't consider the 80's and 90's retro enough. I was disappointed.
