It occurred to me that the only reason the wall street protests gained any notoriety at all was because the police became violent. If the cops had treated them properly, there would be nothing to put on the news.

So I suppose in lieu of becoming violent as protesters, you could entice the police to beat you and perhaps achieve some goals.

ferguson is right outside of N. St. Louis. there is plenty of gun crime there (which is the reason cops need to arm themselves... not just gun ownership)

obviously violent protests are not effective. the only thing that will be remembered from this is the looting / property damage.

cops will not get in trouble for anything (including the initial shooting) because of this.

i seriously doubt they can find a jury now for mr brown that isnt somehow thinking of "damn hooligans."
