yea you have to put "masterpiece mystery" on your dvr. means you record a 5-6 eps of random stuff throughout the year (if you dont catch it) but will catch sherlock for you too

I liked it more before the whole "sherlock is a drug addict" thing. Still an awesome show

sherlock was written as a drug addict in the original character

Would've liked if the whole thing was just a one-off period piece and not connected to the prior 9 episodes, but it was still fun. Sucks that the next episodes won't air until some time in 2017.

Thoughts? I didn't think it was terrible, but definitely nothing special.

We enjoyed it. Ending kind of sucked, but wasn't super surprising to me.

They tried to put way too much story into an hour and a half. They needed to cut about half of the plot points out and spend more time on the rest.

Agree! Sherlock is the opposite of GoT. Way too much happens in an episode. I still enjoyed it but the ending was incredibly sad. I hate they had to go that way, but I guess it makes sense.

^Interesting that happened right when its been announced that Martin and Amanda have split (and been split since before filming this season).

I wonder how shitty it would be to have to act like husband and wife on set when you are splitting up in real life. That would have to be a big mind fuck I would think.

What am I missing with this show? I really wanted to like it, but watched the first two episodes of season 1, and it really got on my nerves. Felt really cheesy and campy, and Sherlock just gets on my nerves. I read people saying this is the greatest show they've ever seen, and I can't figure out what's so great about it. Should I keep watching and maybe it will grow on me?

I'd say give it at least one more, I don't think I was in love with it after the first episode, but if you still feel the same after the 3rd it's not for you.

^Yea took most of season 1 to grow on me really. My wife is a YUGE fan of it and drug me kicking and screaming into it. I hated the longer run of the episodes and was not thrilled about it. I have become quite the fan though. Not sure what it is that I like, and I wouldn't say its the best show ever, but I do enjoy it.

I think that it is an entertaining show, and Holmes and Watson have amazing chemistry together. But my god, to they do no justice to the actual stories or characters.

Sherlock Holmes, although a bit high-browed, is supposed to be a rather loveable asshole, very similar to RDJ's rendition. He doesn't go on long diatribes and tangents to redicule people, as he his far to secure in his intelectual superiorty to care about proving it. I also despise how the show will mix wonderful villains in with a mismatched story line to make some sort of side plot or introduction to an episode.

The last episode was ok, better than the first, but the second one was definitely my favorite.

I'm a bit late to post this, but that finale was awful. So disappointing.
