I grow and make my own salsa (and hot sauce) in the summer

^^Thank you for an actual suggestion! Doubt I'll be trying unfortunately, its like $20 for 1 jar shippedTried kylitos hot today. Solid number 3. Hotter than four pepper(not by much tbh), but also not as good taste wiseRanking so far:1. Mateos hot2. Aldi four pepper3. Kylitos hot4. Herdez hot5. Trader joes habanero/ghost pepper6. Mrs renfros ghost pepper7. Fiesta Mart roja salsaStill want to try one called Clints. And saw one that was simply named Texas Texas, gonna try that.A final thought...i hate a lot of the salsas that sound hot or have ghost pepper have lame ass mango or peach flavors added]

The hot is a bit much for me, but Mateo's is easily the best jarred salsa in my book. Throw some fresh chopped cilantro in there and it is pretty close to what you get in a tex-mex restaurant. I used to make salsa from scratch a lot because all the jarred stuff was junk, but now I mostly just use Mateo's.

I learned that some people, including me possibly, have variations in certain smell receptor genes (like OR6A2) that make us extra sensitive to the aldehydes in cilantro. Since those same aldehydes are found in soaps and cleaning products, cilantro can end up tasting soapy or chemically unpleasant.

I don't have that problem. More cilantro for me .

I just use AI salsa

Why do you dislike AI? I find it helpful, so I’m curious what worries or frustrations make you feel differently.

Chips are enough for me. Don't need salsa at all.

Ranking so far:1. Mateos hot2. Kylitos hot3. Aldi four pepper4. Herdez hot5. El Patio6. Texas Texas hot7. Clints hot8. Trader joes habanero/ghost pepper9. Mrs renfros ghost pepper10. Pace habanero11. Saucy hot12. Fiesta Mart roja salsa(this was for like tacos or fajitas or something)Pretty much giving up on any salsa with habanero. And ghost peoper as well seems iffy at this point. El patio kinda liquidy, and smoky. Texas ans clints have too much onions or cilantro or something, but def edible. So far, I'll pretty much only ever get mateos hot in the future. Still a few more I want to try. Swapped 2 and 3...four pepper almost tastes too sugary although I read label and its close to kylitos. Wouldn't mind getting the one afripino posted too. Pretty expensive risk if I hate it thoughRight now this is my go to chip. Cost, taste, ingredients, etc...just an all around good chip

Think of how much easier it would have been to just have ai rank the salsa for you
