Yes, on to page 2.

If you have a masters in EE, my advice is to get very, very serious about your English fluency and move on to making some $$$ at a real job. Perhaps you can get another assistantship and formally continue with your PhD, but I think you should then spend most of your time working on speaking English, developing social skills that will make you completely comfortable in American culture, improving you interview skills (career center can help you there), and getting a job. Resist any temptation to spend all of your time with friends from your own culture and work hard to forge friendships with Americans as well if you want to stay here.

The graduate school system is set up for abuse of people in your situation, but you can turn it in your favor if you want to stay in the US (you never really said either way.)

The school doesn't let me take absence and search for jobs. They request tuition. They want money from me as much as possible!
