the "philly's" thing is kind of like how people inexplicable attach an "s" to PR

Ruckus gets the cheese all down in the steak, and they are very liberal with the cheese.

The specialty phillies are all good but the regular one is damn good too!

I'm gonna have to say Fat Philly's. I've only been to the one in Holly Springs but it was on the money. Speaking of money, it was a little pricey for the type of place it is, but it was good.

Anvil's is much better than when they opened and they have giardiniera now (staple on Chicago Italian beefs), which you should try if you haven't.

Philly's is still great. Jersey Mikes. Ruckus. The Brickhouse is good if you get double meat. Pickled Onion in North Raleigh.

Philly Steak Factory at new hope commons plaza (I-40 exit 270) is excellent and run by a really nice middle eastern guy and his sons

Penn Station Subs in Park West shopping center are pretty damn good.
