Got my invite last night. I'm liking it so far. I had some music already on my phone. Do you guys know if it uploads that from the phone to the server as well? I can't tell because I have the same music on my computer but somebody was asking me and now I'm curious.
6/2/2011 12:30:43 PM
No, it does not yet upload from device to cloud

Got my invite, have yet to try and use Music Manager to upload anything with my domain account.

even for a beta, the music player is buggy and sluggishsometimes i'm playing a song and i skip to the next song, only it doesn't play. i click pause/play to get it going, but it will just continue the last song i was on. during this, the track bar will be at a random point on the line. selecting another song does nothing.also, the player gets bored with certain songs and will skip to the nextadd: the vu meter animation is dumb[Edited on June 3, 2011 at 9:50 AM. Finally got my invite. The web interface is like a shitty Grooveshark.
6/3/2011 5:43:33 PM
I are the music app blows, and is buggy... but honestly, the first versiothey put out was flawless... the new version with SD card deleting is total shit.

Has anyone had any luck with the web interface working via iOS? Seems like several people online have referenced listening to the service through mobile safari, I can't get it to work. Play button changes to the pause button and the little icon by the song title bounces like it is playing, but nothing happens and the track doesn't advance. Kind of a bummer. I suppose the chance of apple approving an actual google music app are zero. Also, I have been able to upload ~9000 songs in the last 24hrs on RR Extreme.
6/3/2011 9:33:25 PM
i'm not too worried about the web interface because i'll either (for the most part) use itunes if i'm on my computer, or the music app on android if not. with respect to performance, it was working great for me tonight. the app could use a little touching up but it's solid otherwise.

After uploading a couple thousand songs, I've noticed that my ID3 tags are pretty screwed up. If I fix them in iTunes, they will be corrected in Google Music right? I've got the agent set to automatically add new songs from iTunes but I just wasn't sure if it would sync changes to existing songs like that. I would test this out but I've still got a couple thousand songs queued to upload.

I am in on the Beta. Is there any way I can send a google music invitation to a friend?
6/6/2011 11:32:08 PM

I'm trying to find other services I can upload my 60gb of songs to and listen to from my phone or computer for free, any suggestions?
6/16/2011 4:39:57 PM
I don't think any such service exists. google tried here and even they couldn't get it. maybe wait a few years?
6/17/2011 6:34:25 AM
so can this be used simply for storage? like if for some reason my HD crashed i could retrieve all of my music from Google?
6/17/2011 11:26:22 AM
Just got my invite
6/22/2011 6:41:30 PM
I'd have to echo other comments in saying the Android app for the service is terrible. Repeats tracks, crashes, doesn't play songs, etc.The service itself is actually pretty cool. I hope Google exposes it via an API so I can continue to use PowerAMP (assuming PowerAMP is updated to support it).
6/23/2011 6:40:48 PM
Sparky, theoretically, you could download your library with a make offline option on an android device, and then access the files on the SD card... I think..

i'm going to start using this, i've gotten into my car and realized that my ipod is inside too many times lately.
8/24/2011 8:45:38 PM
Not awesome, but for free this is a great attempt. I don't use it but also am not dependent on my music. Pretty cool stuff though.
