I'm not a good judge of clothing, I have a habit of ignoring weather to my friends' amusement. I have worn short sleeves in September there. I have also experienced a drastic weather change that made me regret it. Are you cold natured? Maybe someone with more sense can help here

my parents are going in a couple of weeks and want to hike. any suggestions on a trail? it needs to be easy & not very long (maybe 3 miles). there are a ton there but i'm having trouble weeding through them all to find a good one. i'd like to find them one that's on dirt, not a paved trail, and through some big tall pine trees w/ ferns. needs to be near/in seattle.

And I'm back from a week in Portland, Seattle and Vancouver, BC.Had an absolutely amazing time. The weather was in the 60s most of the time with only a few times where it was overcast and chilly. It rained a little while we were there but nothing that stopped us from going out and enjoying Seattle. We did all the touristy stuff. Went to Pike's, did the Ducks tour and the Underground tour. I really enjoyed the Underground tour b/c I like to see what cities used to look like. We did the Experience Music Project which was awesome. My Nirvana-loving husband was in heaven. We went to a Sounders FC game on Saturday and had an absolute blast. Those fans are crazy. We saw Drew Carey there too. Our favorite restaurant in Seattle was the Steelhead Diner. We had appetizers there one night and dinner there another. Somebody mentioned in this thread that the Crumpet Shop in Pike's Market was closed for repairs but it's open now b/c we ate breakfast there. It was yummy! And we had crepes at a little kiosk near 7th Ave. OMG so good. We went to Gameworks one night after a late dinner and had a blast.Thx to everybody in this thread for their help!
