I think the indians have a slight british accent"Pardon me good sir, have you seen a damsel in distress, possibly bloodied by the ravages of war?"
11/15/2011 1:18:06 PM
I'm a fan, will probably watch the entire season.
11/16/2011 8:13:59 AM
I'm enjoying the show, but I don't know how long they can drag out the revenge plot. Seems like a good season one overarch, but they'll need more if they make it to a second season
11/16/2011 8:32:04 AM
I've watched the first two episodes, fairly entertaining show. It'll be interesting to see how it develops over the rest of the season
11/20/2011 10:44:18 AM
+1 ... Like it so far.
11/20/2011 1:42:48 PM
3rd episode was good too.
11/21/2011 8:21:17 PM
as a sucker for westerns i'm in on this 100%. There are some big issues with it, especially Colm Meaney, but it's a genre that's been missing from TV for too long so i'm just going to roll with it.
11/22/2011 10:04:10 AM
it's hard for me to see him as anyone but Miles Edward O'Brien
11/22/2011 11:18:07 AM
I am enjoying the show but the Irish brothers are awful
11/22/2011 11:57:47 AM
The Irish brothers aren't any flatter or more poorly developed than any of the other characters (save the Swede). I've been pretty disappointed with this show so far...it's passable but doesn't get my loins tingling like Deadwood.
11/22/2011 10:56:49 PM
^you're right on that one. i like the show, but i think they should have left Bohannon to be more of a mystery, and slowly peel away the layers during the season. we kind of know his thing now...he wants revenge, and he's tough? feels like they gave away too much of his persona too quickly, and that's really all there is to him...i hope something comes along that adds another dimension to his character.
11/23/2011 8:15:44 AM
it also seems like he's killed everyone related to Meridian except Harper, so if Revenge is the driving force behind the character what happens when he takes out the last guy? Settles down with goldilocks and bosses around some Negros to build a railroad?
11/23/2011 9:25:14 AM
^isn't that the American dream?
11/23/2011 11:49:48 AM
11/23/2011 11:51:22 AM
I saw a commercial on AMC a bit ago that definitely had Command and Conquer music playing. bleh, hell march. Took me too long to figure that out.Pretty cool, though. I'll start watching just because that music was used.[Edited on November 29, 2011 at 2:39 AM. Reason : a]

The main character reminds me of John Marston. I try and stay away from this thread because of spoilers, (I usually watch a week late).........but.......what did the woman do with the survey plans after she arrived at the camp? I must have missed it somehow.]
12/7/2011 10:14:00 AM
Either I missed it too, or we don't know yet.Unless she buried them when she was digging around those burial plots on the edge of town. She likes to take walks it seems.
12/7/2011 10:16:34 AM
^I bet she did bury them at the grave. Good call.
12/7/2011 10:19:21 AM
I don't think it ever showed her hiding them, but if they're anywhere its probably there
12/7/2011 11:10:29 AM
Maps buried
12/14/2011 10:48:48 AM
We just watched all of the episodes in a row (they were at the bottom of our DVR) and I am pretty much in love with this show.
12/18/2011 9:58:10 PM
really good show last episode.
12/19/2011 9:14:52 PM
yeah definitely one of the better episodes of the show so far.i've been waiting to either see a flashback or hear the story of exactly what happened to his wife/son/farm. it's hard to understand a character's revenge when you have not been exposed to the trigger of said revenge. it's about time they expounded on that part of the plot.
12/19/2011 10:11:00 PM
excellent episode"my name is elam ferguson, you be sure to tell the devil that when he asks who kilt you"
12/19/2011 10:39:14 PM
picked up for a second season.
12/24/2011 1:44:17 PM
didnt see that coming
1/8/2012 11:27:02 PM
I have to get through all my sundayfunday DVR first!!!!I was in the other room folding laundry when I heard the intro come on, did they have mumford and sons playing in the beginning??? Or was that from another show?
1/9/2012 8:19:33 AM
I dont know who the band was, but there was a song
1/9/2012 8:24:18 AM
hahah okayI do like this show, I just hope they can keep it going.
1/9/2012 8:27:52 AM
yes, it was Mumford & Sons during the opening montage.
1/9/2012 8:28:01 AM
Good episode, I liked the slow-motion fight seen

great musical choice for a violent battle scenelove the soft musical selection juxtaposed to the violence
1/10/2012 10:51:43 PM
If you didn't catch the scene, here it is complete with the musichttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-si9_hrflzw

Meh finale. Good season though. Introducing the gf to deadwood this week
1/15/2012 11:17:33 PM
i wasn't happy that he killed the innocent guy
1/16/2012 2:57:29 PM
"my heart was not ripped out but she did still my coo coo clock"lol
1/16/2012 3:07:49 PM
interesting to see how the swede plays out next season. he seems like a character meant for a one-off season appearance but was kept alive due to popularity.
1/16/2012 3:17:47 PM
he'll probably go all bounty hunter on cullenalso I imagine cullen finds out that the sergeant who was discharged was replaced with a new sergeant so he'll have one more person to hunt down
1/16/2012 3:32:26 PM
So is this thread gonna be shorter or longer than the killing?I'm Krallum and I approved this message.
1/16/2012 3:45:09 PM
is the killing any good?
1/16/2012 4:06:37 PM
the killing was not good
1/16/2012 4:19:30 PM
thx for the heads up
1/16/2012 4:24:00 PM
I enjoyed The Killing, looking forward to season 2

Random Q...how does the train turn around? Is there another Engine car on the tail end of the train they just never show?
1/17/2012 6:48:44 PM
According to shining time station, there is a turntable they spin around on.
1/17/2012 10:06:45 PM
I know turntables and track layouts exist to easily turn a train around, but this is just a single track.
1/17/2012 10:10:21 PM
haven't you seen the commercials for that "behind the scenes" thing... they clearly lift the train onto the tracks with some sort of crane.
1/18/2012 8:08:00 AM
damn, I never thought about the single track thing, shouldnt they be building two?
1/18/2012 3:28:17 PM
AMC's current lineup has surpassed HBO.
