some people are suggesting the controller could actually be the system (that is if this big screen in the controller rumor pans out), I'm not sure how that would work, there would have to be some part that plugs in to the tv but perhaps the main processor and such would be in the controller or maybe vice versa I don't know

http://www.joystiq.com/2011/04/25/wii-successor-2012/Hopefully it'll have a decent launch lineup since they have plenty of lead time. I wonder if there'll be any decent Wii games besides Skyward Sword this year.

1. Make a family-friendly console and sell at a no-loss price2. Publish first-party titles: Zelda, Super Mario World, Mario Cart, Warioware, Mario Party, Smash Bros, Metroid, Pokemon, Wii Fit, maybe some Kirby and Sonic games3. Get on a few of the big cross-platform games (e.g. rock band, capcom fighters etc)4. Continue to release virtual console, exercise and sports games5. Repeat every 5 years

^Sonic isn't first party.6. Continue to lag 5-10 years behind the competition on online functionality.

I remember when Nintendo announced the Wii would have motion controls and Sony scrambled to implement motion into their controller for the PS3 before release date. I wonder if whatever they do this time will have the same effect. People seem to forget that without the Wii, there wouldn't be a Kinect or a PS Move.

i would kinda like for them to do something like the kinect w/ the next console, but still have the option for a normal 2 handed controller (not a remote & a nunchuck). i've never used the kinect though so that might change my mind lol

If you play holding the nunchaku close together, you cant tell the difference.
