Not rocket science.

And at least a sentence or two rationalizing the pick, of course."

And the objective of this is to, what? Pick based on who you think will go where in the draft?

The OP didn't bother explaining this to those who haven't done it in the past.

DIP SHIT.

yes, make the pick that you feel your assigned team will pick based on their position/need/value.

With the first pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, the Carolina Panthers select...

Auburn Quarterback Cam Newton

Ron Rivera desperately wants to get his rebuilding project underway, and what better position to upgrade than the quarterback spot where the Panthers owned arguably the worst unit in the league last season. This is certainly a boom or bust pick at this spot with Newton's potential through the roof, but questions about his attitude, quarterback style, and college troubles continue to linger.

The Denver Broncos are on the clock...

With the second pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, the Denver Broncos select....

Da'Quan Bowers - DE Clemson University

The Broncos desperately a defensive monster that can make plays opposite Dumervil and contribute quickly. Bowers led the nation in sacks in 2010, possesses the size and speed to get off the edge quickly and with power (think Freeney) while still maintaining control and discipline. A ton of upside and definitely not a reach at number 2.

Next up, Buffalo

Buffalo never thought Carolina, under the new leadership of Ribs would take Cam Newton. A dejected front office had all but decided to go with the best player available, LSU CB Patrick Peterson-----But to the delight of the dozen or so Bills fans in attendance, GM hey now bellowed out a resounding "fuck it", sending his draft card to the podium, with the name

Blaine Gabbert, Missouri pasted on in ransom style cut out magazine letters.

The Cincinnati Bengals are now on the clock.

With the 4th pick in the NFL Draft, the Cincinnati Bengals select AJ Green, WR, Georgia.

Marvin Lewis has a lot on his mind with Carson Palmer being a complete dick, not to mention the fact that Cedric Benson will be a free agent, and TO isn't coming back either. However, he has a big smile on his face when this pick is made, because the satisfaction of telling Ochocinco to take his crazy shit elsewhere is near euphoric.

AJ Green is going to be a monster in the NFL, he has a Steve Smith like ability to somehow come down with the catch, even when he had no business doing so. Sadly, he'll have Jordan Palmer throwing to him for a while, but he'll live.

The Arizona Cardinals are on the clock.

With the 5th pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, the Arizona Cardinals select Robert Quinn, DE, North Carolina

The Cardinals badly need to add a pass rusher to their terrible defense, so they figured they'd take a proven cheater in Robert Quinn. Quinn didn't play a single snap in his senior collegiate season thanks to his rampant cheating, but he is a physical talent. The other upside about Quinn is that he'll be playing in the NFC West, the worst NFL division, so he'll have a chance to make an impact as a rookie.

The Cleveland Browns are on the clock.

With the 6th pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, the Cleveland Browns select Patrick Peterson, CB, LSU.

As the best CB prospect since Charles Woodson, the Browns will happily take Peterson at pick number 6. He will give them a stud to build a pass defense around. Unfortunately, even with his help, the Browns are in fact still the Browns and therefore when his initial contract is up he will bail for a team and city that doesnt suck.

with the 7th pick in the 2011 NFL draft, the San Francisco 49ers select Marcell Dareus, DT, Alabama

since this mock draft probably isnt at all what the real draft will be like, the 49ers will take the best available player, and will solidify their defense into one of the best in the league for years

With the 8th pick in the draft, the Tennessee Titans select Nick Fairley, DT Auburn

As the only team in the NFL who misses Albert Haynesworth being on an NFL field, Tennessee needs to pick up his heir. Hopefully this iteration of Albert will actually take out Peyton Manning

I almost pulled a Minnesota Viking and missed my pick

With the 9th selection of the TWW draft, America's team selects Prince Amukamara, CB, Nebraska.

The secondary is in dire need of help, and with Peterson long gone the Prince is the logical choice here. Tyron Smith was briefly considered to shore up the line, but in the end the Cowboys use the lottery to shore up a glaring need.

With the 10th pick in the draft, Shanahan must fight his obsessive compulsion to draft a big dumb quarterback with a rocket arm. Redskins fans everywhere are thankful that there is incredible value left on the board, and they aren't stuck with Mallet or Locker.

The Skins select Von Miller, OLB, A&M, making their 3-4 rush with Orakpo positively frightening.

With the 11th pick of the 2011 TWW draft, the Houston Texans select JJ Watt, DE, Wisconsin

This pick has to be on the defensive side of the ball as the Texans were dreadful defending last season. Ol' Wade wants to bring the 34 to Houston and they need a big DE to help play the run and anchor the strong side. Watt is the perfect pick here since Miller is off the board.

With the 12th pick of the 2011 TWW draft, the Minnesota Vikings select Mike Pouncey, C, Florida

The Vikings have a lot of needs but the first thing which should be addressed is their aging o-line interior. Center John Sullivan was awful last season and with Pouncey the Vikings get the centerpiece for their line for the next decade. Hopefully later in the draft they can snatch up Ryan Mallett for the QB position.

With the 13th pick of the 2011 TWW draft, the Detroit Lions select Tyron Smith, OT, USC

Cameron Jordan would like good paired up next to Suh, but the Lions have to keep Stafford upright, hence the Smith pick. Smith has the highest upside of the OTs in this draft, hence his selection over Carimi, Castonzo, & Solder

With the 14th pick in the TWW Mock Draft, the St. Louis Rams select Julio Jones, WR, Alabama.

Lets be honest, name one Rams WR off the top of your head......exactly. You don't pay Sam Bradford $70mm to throw to Danny Amendola and Laurent Robinson. The Rams need play makers, and even though they could use a DT as well, offensive weapons are a bigger need.

With the 17th Pick, New England selects Cameron Jordan DE.
Cameron Jordan is best of the pass rushers this draft and Pats needs a play-making pass rusher.

With the 18th pick of the 2011 TWW draft, the San Diego Chargers select Akeem Ayers, OLB, UCLA

How does a team with the #1 offense and defense miss the playoffs? Bad luck, poor execution and abysmal special teams. Ignore the slow 40 time; this guy is a physical freak, and can be a Day 1 impact guy on ST as he eventually develops into an all around linebacker in the Derrick Brooks mold.

Who else can make plays like this?

With the 19th pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, the New York Giants select...

Anthony Costanzo - Offensive Tackle - Boston College

Tom Coughlin loves his Boston College boys and the GMEN need big bodies to bolster their aging O-line. More than just a body to fill a position, Anthony Costanzo is a very strong hardnosed offensive tackle with little downside. He has excellent technique and football IQ, and will be a bookend on our line for years to come.

With the 20th pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers select...

Muhammad Wilkerson - Defensive Tackle - Temple

This time last year, most people projected the Bucs to be drafting in the top 5 in 2011, but after a fantastic 10-6 season, Tampa Bay has shown they can hang with the veteran teams in the NFC South. Look for the Buccaneers to draft defense first and get lucky with a steal in the later rounds on offense.

^ Interesting selection, considering that the Bucs spent their first 2 picks last year on D-tackles

With the 21st pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, the Kansas City Chiefs select Aldon Smith, DE/OLB, Missouri

After his great combine, the Chiefs are a little surprised to see that Aldon Smith is still available. He's raw and needs to bulk up, but he has the potential to be a great pass-rushing DE opposite Tamba Hali. As an added bonus, he played college ball in the same state, and the Chiefs have had their eye on him since 2009.

With the 22nd pick in the 2011 TWW Mock Draft, the Indianapolis Colts select Corey Liuget, DT, Illinois.

DT has been a position of need for the Colts for the past few years and the Colts decide this is the year to grab one in the first round. With Nate Solder and Gabe Carimi still on the board the Colts were almost tempted in taking an OL but they decide that they can pick one up in the later rounds.

With the 23rd pick in the 2011 TWW Mock Draft, the Philadelphia Eagles select Jimmy Smith, CB, Colorado Buffaloes.

Coach Reid takes a player with a dubious personal background hoping to keep his secondary up to snuff in a pass happy league. OL probably the safer pick....but that's no fun.

I hate the fucking Saints, so this makes sense. Adding a typo for TWW media bias.

With the 24th overall pick, the New Orleans Saints select Marvin Austin, DT, NC State Wolfpack

Good thing I thought to check this thread, whoever made the list forgot the ø in my username

With the 24th pick in the 2011 TWW Mock Draft, the Seattle Seahawks select Jake Locker, QB, Washington Huskies

Matt Hasselbeck? Charlie Whitehurst?! No sons, let me tell you a little something. We need some hometown blood to revitalize this franchise before they move it off to Oklahoma City to rejoin the Thunder SuperSonics. Look on the bright side, at least it isn't Cam Newton.
