Those stairs are like non-regulation height or somethingI went sliding down them freshman year and knocked down Chukwu

The main thing I remember about this building was that my roommate told me when you go into the bathroom there was "toilets as far as the eye can see."
1/7/2011 3:38:56 PM
i had a differential equations class in there. the room was 10 feet deep and about 100 feet long. and curved along an arc. the professor would start an equation at one end of the blackboard and you couldn't fucking see the other end of the equation.:grr:a hateful building, ugly, poorly designed by a bunch of retards, an embarrassment and an eyesore..... and yet i'm sad to hear it's going to go.

I would always run up those stairs to get a good workout, but was picked on when I came to classes panting
1/7/2011 5:22:15 PM
A terrible design from a usability perspective, though I suppose space efficient. And man oh man what an ugly building inside, though the outside is kind of cool.I'll be a little sad to see it go, I admit. Though I always hated having classes there.

aww man, my first college class ever was in this building. i had several classes there, and it kind of grew on me. i'm sad to see it go.

i must be the only one who didn't hate harrelsonI'm AstralAdvent and i approved this message.

what the fuck, where is the imagination in this thread? the only real problem was the stairs were like 4 feet each step but at least that got you a workout, other than that it was enjoyable if you appreciate something unique, I always wondered if anything was hidden at the mysterious center of the building but I think it was just a bunch of old shit they threw in there to waste
1/7/2011 6:22:37 PM
Don't know how much demand there is but here is the hook from the mp3 from page one looped twice to be used as a ringtone: http://qsl.net/ke4znr/NCSUTone/NCSULifetone.mp3Want the uncut mp3? http://qsl.net/ke4znr/NCSUTone/LifeatNCSU.mp3

I couldn't stand when I would drop a pencil and it would roll all the way to the front of the room.
1/7/2011 7:13:48 PM
and don't ever spill a drink there.
1/7/2011 7:17:31 PM
I absolutely hated the stairs so I always walked up the ramp
1/7/2011 7:30:59 PM
on several occasions i've left class to go to the bathroom and done an entire lap trying to find the door to the ramp
1/7/2011 7:32:25 PM
Fuck yes. I've been waiting for this.
1/7/2011 7:35:28 PM
I remember finding water running down the ramp one day... and as I was walking up, I saw a bit of toilet paper float by.

gah...when my kids go to State I'll tell them about the UFO building that I had my math classes in and they will be like "I have no clue what you're talking about"
1/7/2011 10:52:21 PM
They shouldn't have told anyone that it was being demolished.Instead they just needed to bring in some real pros to demo it in one night, then act surprised the next morning and tell everyone "It must have flown home! We knew this day would come!"
1/7/2011 10:54:57 PM
I hated harrelson. The only girls bathroom took forever to get too. In the time I took to pee i had missed 1/4 of my 50 minute class. Still, i dont want to see it go
1/7/2011 10:56:36 PM
see everyone instantly recognized the building and has a shared memory there, keep it
1/7/2011 11:19:50 PM
I still wanna roll a bowling ball down the ramp and see what happens.
1/7/2011 11:22:28 PM
only one bowling ball?? how about one HUNDRED]
1/7/2011 11:27:28 PM
I came to post about the stairs.I think like over 50% of my classes were in that building, hell my departmental graduation was in a room with like 6 foot ceilings but I will miss thee.
1/7/2011 11:27:45 PM
I've heard tales of office chair rides down the ramp.

1/8/2011 12:14:37 AM
This building holds a special place in my heart
1/8/2011 12:15:46 AM
Harrelson probably has the same policy I have when it comes to women, "NO FATTIES!"Why do you think the stairs were such a bitch? The stalls so narrow? The ramp such a hike? And pretty much all the classrooms have floors at an incline (sure, it's easy going down, but when you have to walk back up it at some time).
1/8/2011 12:17:04 AM
Riding Harrelson's elevator was like Disney's tower of terror ride. RIP
1/8/2011 3:24:20 AM
I didn't read this thread. But Harrelson is a Dracula. Its not dead until you see the body, with a stake in its heart, and a severed head.Don't believe until I see it.
1/8/2011 3:31:12 AM
This is sad. I had an evening calculus class there my first semester at NCSU and met my now wife in that class.
1/8/2011 9:18:19 AM
Drank with my roommate the night before the first day of classes freshman year. His sister left him a case of Miller Light as a welcome to college gift.Next morning, I had calculus 2 at 8am. Felt the beer shits coming.Needless to say, the journey to find the men's bathroom was quite unpleasant.
1/8/2011 9:49:02 AM
I for one am for the hard cramped seats and miles of urinals Harrelson provided, and if you can't handle the 12" stairs take the ramp whoosies. This was a building for college students were college students, and by that I mean men.
