I feel like some people don't understand that this is not a thread to suggest random hot sauces.

These people are going on a list.

It is not a good list.

Sriracha is a versatile and wonderful thing. There is a large quantity of it in my kitchen currently.

And, yes, you can get it almost anywhere. I have seen/purchased it at Teeter, Food Lion, and Kroger at various times. Plus of course any asian market worth their salt soy sauce.

You're really hating on people who don't make their own hot sauce?

(which I do, actually)

hate is a strong word

but, i can make enough to last a year, just the way i like it, in 20 minutes, for half the price--what other people do is up to them

Pretty much every supermarket carries it these days but the cheapest place to get it is the giant Asian supermarket on South Saunders Street.

I love all hot sauces, but my go to is always texas pete

I will admit, different sauces have different benefits for cooking, and I like different ones better with different foods, but in a pinch, I always go to good ol TP

Attempting a simplified buffalo wing using it tonight. I found a recipe that supposedly doesn't require frying, which is good because I don't have a frier.

Also bought a small thing of the chili garlic sauce Fumbler mentioned last page, under the theory that anything the good people at this company make will be delicious.

It's funny how desensitized I've become to the spiciness. I guess I was kind of lame at first and could only use a little but now I find myself smothering things in it.

I recommend yet again mixing it in equal parts with honey. The sweet/spicy combo is good for dipping stuff, and the other night I covered some shrimp in the mixture before grilling and found the final product delicious.

The only time I've ever had this was when it was sitting on the table at Noodles and Company so I put some on my mac and cheese. I don't recommend that.

I guess I feel ... plebeian or something if I put the same condiment on everything given the fact that I do really appreciate good food and a variety of flavors.

But I can't change the fact that it does make everything better.

I was really sad when my co-worker cleaned out the fridge and tossed my half full bottle of sriracha. He said it was growing shit but I don't believe him. It was good the day before. I was like WhereTF is my sriracha! FUCKING IDIOT!

I always go out and buy a new bottle whenever the old one is down to about 1/5. I can't have a sriracha gap.

Also, SRIRACHA IN SPACE:

Look at the ceiling over the guy in blue's head. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, this stuff is a preferred condiment on board the ISS.

My bottle is probably going to last over a year since the only thing I put it in is ramen. And even then it's not that much, I like to have various flavors in my ramen so I throw in about 1/2 the pack of oriental, some teryaki sauce, some garlic powder, and some hot sauce.

Add an egg, some meat (of almost any kind), mushrooms, red cabbage, top with green onions when it's done cooking...

OMG I'm really hungry now.

I add sriracha to all my Italian pasta dishes, which my Italian girlfriend just about lobs my head off over.

It's seriously the best stuff ever.

I am in the "this stuff goes on EVERYTHING" camp. It had a staring roll in my lunch on pizza and in my dinner as part of an asian sauce for my broccoli that then went over a baked potato. Yum.

Has anyone found a good dessert use for this sauce? I am still looking....

I put it on ice cream once. It was interesting.

Today in my Googling I found some sriracha peanut butter cookies and a few other things. I think they were on the sriracha cookbook blog.

I found a noodle recipe recently that used this stuff and became instantly addicted. After that i started putting it on things like steak, pizza, and chicken. Sometimes when i'm really hungry i'll just eat the sauce by itself.

I used to really enjoy this when I was a super vegetarian, but now my constant dining companion hates spicy food and i've lost my tolerance. I should get a bottle and eat a half-tsp more each day til I can blow fire again.

Wow, I've never heard of or seen this hot sauce before. I do love Texas Pete though, and I put it on just about everything from my Chinese/Japanese food to my BBQ and etc.

Tabasco is good too, but rarely buy it.
