There were some contractor trucks outside today. If these guys they are smart they will hurry and open before Summer when half the population leaves the area.

What was Courtneys? That was before my time.

GM, owner, and bartender came in for lunch yesterday. Introduced themselves as such, and it turns out they've been coming here for a good while now. Good guys.

Per them, the whole middle part with those booths and the POS station are being taken out (which is good, it was a horrific idea in the first place), and they're putting down tables. Also got 10+ 50" TVs...

1. The current "Gorman Street Pub" sign is hideous.
2. The sign also appears to use the same font as The Wolf Web title.

They better have bands sometimes, not just a bunch of blaring ass TV's, if I wanted to listen to the damn TV blaring I would stay home.

I asked em if they were gonna do live music, and they cited the insane television coverage as a reason for live music to possibly not work. They're doing karaoke, however.

I like it when sports bars will turn the sound on for big games (conference/tournament championships, World Cup games, college and NFL football days, etc.), but other than that will just play good music through the sound system (be it through an ipod playlist, pandora, or satellite radio) while obviously keeping the games on TV. I don't want to have a few beers on a Tuesday night and have to listen to the Vanderbilt/Mississippi state game over the loud speakers.

At Busy Bee the only things we turned the sound on for was NCSU games and the World Cup.

And the Formula 1 races but those were at 8am on a Sunday so the Formula 1 fans were the only ones in the place and it didn't matter. I wish I could have sold them beer; I would have made $Wisconsin.

^^ maybe the same way that people know the owners, know that they're having trivia, who's hosting the trivia, how many beers they have on tap, the selection of bottled beers, the layout of the tables, etc...

I assume somebody would know the menu
