I live in VA and Miami Subs seems to be making a comeback. At least two locations that I know of have opened locally in the past several months. The franchise might make its way back to NC.

There's still the classic Andy's Pizza up Millbrook at Quail Corners, but I think it's not family managed anymore, that place had fires like twice but they kept rebuilding it.

I will totally second Hard Times Cafe. I miss that place on a regular basis. Also, Andy's Pizza at North Hills used to have killer lasagna.

I truly miss Teriyaki and Sushi A which used to be at Crabtree. Their yakisoba was excellent, and it was cheap.

I miss that Miyako place by Baja Burrito. They had awesome pineapple fried rice. The owner there was nice too.
