Sorry, it's so amazing that when I thought about it, all recognition of the thread title left my mind. That goddamn jalapeƱo pineapple salsa.
11/21/2010 2:57:50 AM
i think burritos are my favorite foodwhat kind of burritos is everyone ordering? i'm not sure that i've ever had a burrito in the triangle, but i know here in socal some places are better than others at specific types of meats/styles
11/21/2010 3:25:11 AM
oh FUCK how could I have forgotten flaming amy's... and I'm FROM Wilmington. Jesus, that shut is delicious.[Edited on November 21, 2010 at 7:34 AM. Reason : Except I also forgot that this was about the triangle only :\]
11/21/2010 7:33:24 AM
my wife introduced me to flaming amy's and it is awesome. chipotle bbq burrito ftw.and that pineapple salsa is the bomb
11/21/2010 11:09:38 AM

11/21/2010 4:35:07 PM

11/21/2010 5:02:21 PM
El Rodeo Grill on Six Forks Rd.It's not the typical El Rodeo you're thinking ofhttp://www.elrodeogrill.com/They have California-style burritos or whatever and they are massive. I had one with chicken and chorizo, lots of cilantro (om nom nom), etc. and it was freaking amazing.
11/21/2010 5:45:37 PM
^ ohhh is this not owned by the same people that own the hillsb st one? i always thought it was so i always avoided it. lolz.
11/21/2010 5:50:00 PM
Taco Bell has a new Chicken Enchilada.
11/21/2010 5:58:58 PM
Enchilada
11/21/2010 6:00:43 PM
That particular El Rodeo is pretty decent...of course, it must be part of the vast "el rodeo" empire in some way...there's no way they could use that name otherwise.Never been to Carrburrito...I'll be sure to try it next time I'm over that way.I do enjoy Chipotle a great deal. And I don't care what nobody says! Having it tonight actually.People who do not rank Chipotle as the best of the chains really, really startle me.
11/21/2010 6:19:57 PM
Chubby's is a once-a-week addiction for me. I need to try this Carrburrito and Cosmic apparently.Where are these places? Save me the google.
11/21/2010 8:53:16 PM
moe's, chipotle, qdoba are all bullshit burritos...think of them as mcdonalds, burger king, and hardee's respectively.carrboritos is the BEST in the triangle, and rated as such in the independent for i don't know how many years.
11/21/2010 10:39:40 PM
The only burrito place i ever went to outside the chains in the triangle area was flying burrito in chapel hill, which i thought was pretty good. That being saidQdoba>chipotle>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>moe's
11/22/2010 7:53:15 AM
More sit-down style: Dos Taquitos and Chubby's both have really good burritos.Ranking the chains: I put Moe's slightly ahead of Chipotle because I prefer their hot sauce and their queso is great but both are >>>>>>>>>>>>> Qdoba(definitely the last resort).I had Flaming Amy's once, didn't leave thoroughly impressed, will try again.[Edited on November 22, 2010 at 8:07 AM. F the haters, Moe Monday is my favorite deal in town.
11/22/2010 1:10:24 PM
I, too, get pumped for Moe's on Mondays
11/22/2010 1:12:33 PM
Moe's had that god awful philly cheesesteak burrito. That thing was like someone having an abortion in your mouth
11/22/2010 2:38:54 PM
I haven't been to the ones in Raleigh/Cary, but I would like to vote for Tijuana Flats. http://www.tijuanaflats.com/
11/22/2010 2:47:39 PM
11/22/2010 4:35:49 PM
on a semi-related note, has anyone tried the new fish tacos at baja burrito?
1/19/2011 9:27:26 AM
I haven't eaten at baja since I lived in wood... their burritos were always just so bland to me (maybe they have changed that?)fwiw, I like qdoba, moes, and salsarita's all the same, but I get different things from each. Qdobe = bbq burito (or tacos), Moes = fajitas, and Salsaritas= traditional burritonever been to chipotle though- will check it out!also, in response to flaming amy's - I think their burritos are average, but their salsas make them a step above everyone. I am pissed that I haven't been there in several years. I need to make a dg trip down to castle hayne and stop and get some flaming amy's on the way back![Edited on January 19, 2011 at 9:32 AM. 1/19/2011 9:30:37 AM
moes: it's mexican southwestern food!
1/19/2011 10:34:55 AM
this might have already been posted but....FREE CHIPOTLE!!!! for watching a promo video on FB. check it. free is free, even if it isn't the best burrito in the triangle area. free = good enough for me!!! http://mashable.com/2011/02/24/free-chipotle-facebook/https://www.facebook.com/americasnextgreatrestaurant?ref=tsOH and the coupon expires fast...so if you want free chipotle like, on or before 3/3/11 DO ITTTT[Edited on February 24, 2011 at 4:57 PM. 2/24/2011 4:53:32 PM
The correct answer is Baja Burrito. I will smite anyone who disagrees.
2/24/2011 6:18:28 PM
I await your smiting... while convenient when living in wood, I will never choose to eat there again
2/24/2011 6:27:07 PM
now I want Carrburritos
2/24/2011 6:31:10 PM
Having tried it for the first time recently, let it be said that Salsa Fresh is terrible.
2/24/2011 8:32:28 PM
I have eaten at Tijuana Flats 2 times in the last week now. The hot sauce bar is awesome. Actually everything I've had there is awesome. I still love Chipotle but TF is going to hurt their business in Cary since they are so close together.Last week we got the cookie dough flautas for desert. It's like fair food any time of the year, but better.Still, nothing beats Flaming Amy's, even though it's almost 2 hours away.
2/24/2011 8:38:01 PM
i havent been following along with this thread, but has anyone suggested your mom's butthole?
2/24/2011 8:48:23 PM
2/24/2011 9:18:34 PM
The fact that Chipotle is the top of anyone's list shows how shitty burritos are in the triangle or how limited the list-writer's experience is
2/25/2011 5:07:24 AM
moe's, cuz of the half off military discount
2/25/2011 7:48:15 AM
Tijuana Flats gets my vote.
2/25/2011 7:54:54 AM
Qdoba and Chipotle aren't as high on my list simply because they don't include chips in the price of the burrito. Gotta include chips for 'free' not charge what amounts to $texas for a just a small hand full of chips as a side. Oh, I got 12 chips, and only for a $1.50 extra. What a deal.
2/25/2011 9:08:52 AM
BajaFresh is pretty decent. you can get it enchilada style with the mole sauce and cheese melted on it...mmmmmm
2/25/2011 9:35:57 AM
^ok, that sold it... I need to check this place out
2/25/2011 9:47:47 AM
Cosmic on 9th street is #1 in my bookChubby's has great burritos too
2/25/2011 9:50:19 AM
^^ Ask for extra mole sauce...you'll thank me later
2/25/2011 10:12:49 AM
^^I haven't tried their burritos (chubby's), but I was not a fan of the tacos... but that is because they use soft corn tortillas, and I don't like those- give me flour or give me nothing!^will do!
2/25/2011 10:17:49 AM
Why would anyone have Tijuana in the name of their restaurant?I rarely ever feel sick after eating something but the Gordita at Chubby's was so greasy it made me feel like death all day.[Edited on February 25, 2011 at 10:25 AM. Reason : .]

I love the salsarita's burritos
