^That's awesome, I never noticed that. I am very excited about this one, as Nolan has definitely far exceeded my expectations in each film. Will he ever go down the path of introducing Dick Grayson/Robin in this film or if there is a 4th?
11/1/2010 10:13:07 PM
He's stated the the third film will be the last and that he will never introduce Robin. Christian Bale has stated that he'll drop out if Robin shows up.Personally I like that they're wrapping it up as a trilogy instead of leaving it wide open to shitty sequels with a new cast/director every time.

If you had just posted a bunch of gay porn it somehow would have been less gay than that.

Okay.

I wonder if they'd go the route of bringing in some other demented guy to play the misguided hero that tries to cleanse Gotham of the threat of the Batman. Anarky maybe? He said no Robin, does that extend to no Nightwing? Not as a sidekick, but as a separate self-made hero to fill the role that Batman had before he went bad.[Edited on November 3, 2010 at 8:08 AM. you have to remember...this is the general public that will want to see this movie.not many people have read the comics and know who any of these people yall are mentioning are. I certainly dont.therefore he will go with someone people recognize...ala two face and joker.the general public=$$ and money talks.

11/3/2010 9:54:02 AM
ala....Scarecrow and Ra'as Al Ghul? People will see it because its Batman.
11/3/2010 9:55:07 AM
You know how you make Robin work? You don't change a damn thing about him. Bruce Wayne attends the circus and sees a family of acrobats fall to their deaths due to a gangster's tampering, leaving their youngest son alone. Wayne volunteers to become the boy's ward. He sees the boy's need for revenge, recognizes what was in himself at that age, and invites him to turn his dark need for revenge into something more just.Bright colors, jokes, ass-kicking. I don't see why these things are a problem. Why do people thing Robin needs to be "fixed"? There's a reason the character was popular in the first place. The sensational character find of 1940! Fuck your concerns about child endangerment and plausibility—it's motherfucking Batman and Robin.
11/3/2010 9:55:50 AM
The general public will come out in masses to see w/e the fuck Christopher Nolan wants to put on the big screen.

I think of Sarah. The rest is easy.

I will forever believe that Joker was not supposed to die at the end of the Dark Knight, and Harley Quinn was supposed to join him in the third movie. At this point I feel like continuing the Joker would be an insult to Ledger. That being said, if Dr. Quiznel really did have a cameo in the film she can move into his roll instead of being an accomplice. The Joker's death could provoke her; somewhat like Norman/Harry Osborn. Her obsession of Joker should be enough to propagate such a transformation. Also, she seems to always be portrayed as a blonde, at least when you see her hair. There are some blonde females in the link provided by Mr. Joshua.
11/3/2010 1:51:16 PM
the joker didn't die in the dark knight..
11/3/2010 1:57:08 PM
^ to be honest I forgot what happened to him. I remember now that he was left hanging to have police come and get him. I guess as a knee jerk reaction I assumed that he just died, because well Ledger is The rest of my post remains. Bringing him back is fucking stupid, end of story.
11/3/2010 2:06:00 PM
Maybe they can film his death at the very beginning of the movie. Like the police are cutting him down and one decides to kick him over the ledge. Or would that be too classless

11/3/2010 4:52:18 PM
1) there's no need for him to be dead to have harley quinn in it - just have her as a deranged fan.2) i don't think they'd have harley quinn in the movie for the sole reason that she's just another joker, and they've already had the anarchist clown in one movie.
11/3/2010 5:33:04 PM
11/3/2010 6:04:43 PM
You could give one of the Olsen twins a role in that story.
11/3/2010 6:47:09 PM
^^&^ AHAHAHAHAHAHAAnyway, im kinda thinking harley quinn is the main villain. Getting revenge for the joker.

It does make sense that Strange would be the villain. He has a clear connection to Scarecrow, and the hallucinogen back story is already in place. According to wikipedia.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hugo_Strange

imdb lists tom hardy has Hugo Strange, but still shows rumored.

Is Hugo Strange the villain they show in this trailer from the upcoming Arkham City game?message_topic.aspx?topic=606251
12/15/2010 2:11:52 PM
yes
12/15/2010 2:24:54 PM
yeah, part of my thoughts on why i thought it would be Hugo Strange back on page one, is that it seems to kinda be in line with the type of villains Nolan seems to be writing... there's something almost 1970s dennis o'neil/marshall rogers- type Batman going on in the filmsto me, at least
12/15/2010 7:00:19 PM
Most obvious villain for Nolan
12/18/2010 12:37:10 PM
Anne Hathaway is Selina Kyle, Tom Hardy is Banehttp://artsbeat.blogs.nytimes.com/2011/01/19/roles-of-anne-hathaway-and-tom-hardy-revealed-in-dark-knight-rises/
1/19/2011 1:04:29 PM
meh
1/19/2011 1:19:39 PM
I could get behind both of those actors....especially if Nolan portrays Bane as he's supposed to be. When not on venom he's crazy intelligent and sophisticated.
1/19/2011 1:25:28 PM
Yeah I could definitely get behind Anne Hathaway too
1/19/2011 1:29:18 PM
Maybe it's just the way that Michelle Pfieffer portrayed her, but isn't Anne Hathaway seems a little too young to portray Catwoman.
1/19/2011 1:37:23 PM
Maybe it's just the way that Halle Barry portrayed her, but isn't Anne Hathaway seems a little too white to portray Catwoman.
1/19/2011 1:48:18 PM
Anne Hathaway will likely be as similar to Pfeiffer as Heath Ledger was to Nicholson.
1/19/2011 1:55:15 PM
Anne Hathaway as Catwoman is the best fucking thing I have heard in a long time. She can actually act. She is gorgeous to boot.Everyone was pretty much, wtf, when heath ledger was cast as Joker. We all know how that turned out. Also Bane Officially pumped for this.[Edited on January 19, 2011 at 2:02 PM. Reason : ]

Pissed they didn't get Ben Foster to play Zsasz
1/19/2011 2:01:52 PM
I think Nolan has Bane break his back. Nolan has always said this is the end of his Batman story. How awesome would it be to end this with Bruce Wayne paralyzed in a wheel chair. It makes perfect sense why Bane is the final villain now.
