VICK IS RUNNING AMOK!Dude's going apeshit.

Philadelphia really was a great fit for Vick. McNabb was about to be traded. Kolb couldn't hold him off, the injury just expedited him taking over the #1 spot. Also besides winning, Philly fans would be more willing to accept him than any other fanbase b/c most of them have also been in trouble with the law. Did she just drink the entire Delaware River? Look at how much has flowed out of her![Edited on November 15, 2010 at 11:10 PM. Reason : ]

Vick was already awesome in atlanta he just had no fucking weapons. They went 14-2 one year for gods sake.I've dug up his record as a starter 100 times and its one of the better win percentages in NFL history. The guy is just fucking awesome yet nearly everyone on the entire board has always argued that he's an average QB.Eat a big fat dick.
11/15/2010 10:59:37 PM
I am a huge fan of the Vick, more so than before. I like that he is moving on, and kicking ass.
11/15/2010 11:01:39 PM
rally does his "look at what i said a while back" thing and one guy disagrees, then he goes and does that everyone on the board is an idiot thing

f-f-f-face
11/15/2010 11:13:59 PM
serious note here. I've noticed, when Vick puts his mouthguard in, it's been a pass, when he doesn't it's a run. This has been consistent for the last 15 plays. I'll bet Washington wish they knew that before the game.[Edited on November 15, 2010 at 11:21 PM. Reason : ]

2005- Vick was not a very good QB. Rallydurham makes a bunch of unconvincing arguments about him being a "winner" despite his crappy stats.2010 - Vick has become a really good QB. Everyone acknowledges it and he has the stats to back it up. Rallydurham tries to argue he was right all along.
11/15/2010 11:28:08 PM
I've been a huge fan of Vick ever since he started playing for the Falcons. Glad to see he's made it.
11/15/2010 11:46:28 PM
what a class act. couldn't ask for a better role model for our youth. 9/10 pit bulls agree - it was all a misunderstanding...
11/16/2010 12:09:21 AM
Vick has always been a top QB, he's just a legit MVP this year instead of just a top QB....

No, seriously though...fuck that dog-murdering asshole.
11/16/2010 9:51:41 AM
I believe the thread you're looking for is in the soap box.I don't think anyone here is stoked about what he did to those dogs, but that isn't what this thread is about. I don't think he deserves to go down in history as one of the best people ever, but he's absolutely killing it on the football field. He's an exciting player to watch, I'm glad to be able to watch him. He claims to be a different person now, but he is sure as fuck a different player now. This thread is about his performance on the field.Plus, the dude got me 49 fantasy points last night. (OJ Simpson was a murdering lunatic, but that doesn't mean he wasn't one of the best tailbacks of all time ever.)[Edited on November 16, 2010 at 10:05 AM. Reason : .]

If I were you, I'd be more upset at the McNabb deal than anything Vick has ever done.
11/16/2010 10:13:39 AM
i, too, am a redskins fan, and i can't say that vick wasn't impressive last night. he'll certainly go down as one of the top two federal criminals ever to play in the NFL he's paid his debt to society though, probably more than that considering the whole awareness of dogfighting effect.i'd almost be happy about last night, as the redskins were exposed and bitchmade from daniel snyder on down, except for the fact that daniel snyder never learns anything and i don't expect things to change until the owner does[Edited on November 16, 2010 at 10:16 AM. ^^I didn't say I wasn't upset at that, but it got just a little bit overshadowed by that ass hammering that was delivered last night.[Edited on November 16, 2010 at 10:17 AM. Reason : .]

how much credit is dungy gonna silently take for this?
11/16/2010 11:19:52 AM
I know they are two different sports, but his entire reasoning is so off here. He is such a statistics guy when it comes to the NBA yet relies totally on emotion with the NFL.[Edited on November 16, 2010 at 11:25 AM. Reason : rally's that is]

"The pregame altercation got us going," Jackson said. "It had us ready. We came back into the locker room pumped. We were like pit bulls, ready to get out of the cage."
11/16/2010 3:30:03 PM
well damn. some people just never learn.I hated on Vick when he was at Atlanta and thought he was a mediocre QB at best. Mostly because I'm a Panthers fan. However, I certainly wanted him when he came back and he has turned into a fantastic QB, far better than he was in Atlanta. That performance last night was just phenomenal. I would never hire him to look after my dogs, but I would certainly hire him to be my QB. He is also one of the few that I honestly feel has learned from their mistakes and is making an honest effort to change. [Edited on November 16, 2010 at 3:39 PM. Reason : .]
11/16/2010 3:37:44 PM
^yeah pretty muchi HATED him when he was with the Falcons, because as a Panthers fan, I got used to him singlehandedly beating us twice a year...at least until we figured out that putting Thomas Davis as a spy would pretty much shut him downBut I'm kind of cheering for him this year, because while his passing game is much, much better than it ever has been, he seems to me to really be leading a different type of life, and you have to respect that

I'll be interested to see if he stays with his new throw-first mentality after he gets beat up a few times, or if he reverts to his Steamin' Willie Beamon run first and ask questions later style of play[Edited on November 16, 2010 at 7:00 PM. Reason : x]

He was also playing a defense that consisted of these types of players...So let's not all suck his dick quite yet.
11/16/2010 7:05:24 PM
I get a chuckle from the OL reaction.
11/16/2010 7:15:04 PM
He wanted to make sure he'd get the tally for a pancake.

NYM you are a pretty intelligent guy and sports fan so I'm surprised the difference isnt more apparent to you but I'll give a simple explanation.Football is a schematic sport, not a statistical one. Stats play a fairly small role in explaining wins, performance etc...Baseball on the other hand is almost a pure statistical sport. Watching it doesn't really matter, statistics really tell you 99% of what you need to know. In fact, watching it does more harm than good in evaluation because anecdotes tend to skew reality.NBA basketball is mostly statistical with a small amount of schematics. College basketball is much more schematic than the NBA which is why we need to watch a lot more college games than we do the NBA which can be pretty thoroughly evaluated through box scores.I understand most of you aren't economists or statisticians or in some cases even intelligent humans so you don't really understand the science behind sports and perhaps that's a good thing because the inherent randomness in statistics probably makes the sport much more enjoyable for casual observers than for people who study them. Some people would rather just know what time it is than what makes the watch tick. I can appreciate that. But the typical human doesn't argue with people that know more than them about a specific subject. Sports is an anomaly in that regard as all kinds of yahoos will furiously debate things they know very little about.Case in point, the Vick threads.
