I have never before seen such irrational polarization. I'm right leaning but those of you who are actually annoyed by this comment -which may or may not have actually been said- and bashing the first lady for it have completely abandoned reality and taken a one stop train ride to crazy town.

Not a single counter point has held any merit.

Her husband and herself asked for the job, so what? Has no one here ever applied for a job, got it and then not found it to be what was expected? If so I'm sure that there was some serious complaining before any action was taken, and if not then you've never had a job because they're all that way.

Her trips are paid for by tax payers, so what? Do you think that means that her trips are stressful or that she wouldn't rather have a weekend at home alone with her husband? People on this train of thought are no better than mambagirl. As was pointed out in her work inversely
proportional to income these dinners, flights, and other outings are in fact work.

This much work anyone would find to be "hell".

I'm sure the huge numbers of unemployed would find it hell to be paid for such things
